My DH and I are going out without the kids the first night. He is in the Navy and has been deployed for 6 months. He gets back 1 1/2 before we go. So I need some advice. He would like a good meal since he has been living off of the ships food. So what one has better food, enviroment, and specialty drinks? We are already going to LTT, CF,CM, and WCC, Plus food and wine festival. Thanks.

Ohana, hands down (and I like both). Ohana is my favorite place to eat anywhere, not just WDW (not the best, but my favorite). The Tambu Lounge is right next door, and it offers any kind of drink you would want. Concourse makes a good steak, but Ohana is AYCE, and it is all good.

Since you are going without the kids I would pick Concourse. Both places are good but Ohana is more family oriented. There are a lot of activities going on-parades, hula hoops, etc.-and it can get fairly loud.

I would also choose the Concourse. The steaks are awesome and the atmosphere is more adult. Ohana's is a great place, but I would go when the kids could go. There are plenty of activities to keep them busy ( hula lessons, coconut races, etc.). It has lots of great food, but it's not really a place I would go for a special "date night without the kids".

We would pick 'Ohana without any thinking. We weren't impressed with Concourse when we went there but we love everything at 'Ohana.

Haven't eaten at the Concourse steakhouse (I'm a vegetarian) but I can tell you that I really enjoyed eating at Ohana earlier this month. The food was amazing and even more so amazing were the adult beverages! The grounds of the Poly are so pretty and is great for a post-dinner stroll.

That's my suggestion!

I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time either way...how wonderful to have him back in the States! Have a wonderful trip!

If he's returning from sea duty, unfortunately he may a view of the water at either place! :sail: Seriously though, I thank you both for his service.

Go with 'Ohana. The steak skewers are great, and the atmosphere is very fun. You can watch the firewords after dinner if you time it right. :teeth:

Ohana! Been 2x, once with just my mom and the other with entire family. Yes, they have activities going on and such, but on both occasions eating there I never had a problem.
Concourse Steakhouse, hubby and I went for a nice dinner. ( We had a sitter for DS (4) and I was 5 months preganat!) We were sat 1/2 hr. after our ADR, our server was horrible, my lobster bisque came out luke warm/ cold. We waited 45 minutes to get our entrees to which my hubby's steak was RARE! He ordered it med/well. We sent eveything back to the kitchen and left. I wsa so upset. Here we had everything planned out in place with a sitter and our dinner was ruined. Plus me bieng pregnant I was starving!
We ended up going to the Orlando Ale House and had the best service and food! (ha-ha) Wow... who'd of thought the Ale House would out rank the Concourse Steakhouse!

We really enjoy 'Ohana. We had gone 2 years ago and thought of it as our best meal that trip. I heard much on here about the new menu and warned my family that it might not be as good....but everyone thoroughly enjoyed it again! We are a family of 7 adults (youngest DS 17, 20-somethings up to 50-somethings), and we all thought it was great. We ate at Concourse several years ago and thought it was good, but nothing to rave about.
