Ohana or California Grill

If it your family, which would you chose and why?

Ohana..we like the family atmosphere and fun that the restaurant provides. We have always loved this restaurant and the food

Looking for a very laid-back, entertaining, all-you-can-eat experience with polynesian flair? Wouldn't hesitate to go to 'Ohana again.

Desiring some upscale American cuisine in a more refined dining experience? Cali Grill it is.

Looking at your signature, you've got a 5yo. I'd say 'Ohana would probably be a better option for that age group.

My wife and I (mid/late 20s, respectively) go to both on a regular basis and find em both excellent choices.

For a family, I'd go to 'Ohana.

I also would suggest Ohana for family dinning. As much as I love Cali Grill, I would suggest that for a parents only dinner....its really amazing!

I would say Ohana is more a family type of setting because they also have games for the little kids, at least they did the few times I went there for dinner. However the California Grill is also a place where families can go, so I guess it depends on what you feel like eating.

Cali Grill is our DD5's all time favorite restaurant! The atmosphere is fun, Wishes is great, and nothing beats the food! The waitresses even bring out chopsticks and goldfish crackers for her to eat wile my DH and I decide over the wonderful menu. Even though it is a signature ding place, there are always plenty of children.
Ohana's is fun, but for the quality of food, we really like California Grill so much better.

Thank you and I appreciate everyones response. I do understand they are different type of restaurant but I guess if you had to chose between those 2 which would you pick. I do have a 5 yr old son but he has been going to signature Dinning at Disney since he was 2 yrs old and does very well at restaurants. I looked at the menus and read it to my son and my son said California Grill b/c he wants to eat California roll and I did tell him there are games at OHANA but he said he rather go to CR b/c he'll ate and behave then we can take him to the ARCADE.

It depends on my budget. My family likes 'Ohana, but I've always wanted to try California Grill. Not entirely sure if the kds would like the food there.

Just so you know the Contemporary arcade closes at 11:30 PM, so it's something to keep in mind if your ADR is scheduled for a late time or you are not seated right away.

Your son made a good choice. The food at the California Grill is excellent, and still very family friendly.

You're welcome and incase you haven't been to the Contemporary arcade in the past few years it's now located on the 4th floor where the Fantasia store use to be, which is why it now closes at 11:30 PM.
