A late ressie at OHana will be preferable for the day I plan to do it. Is it a bad idea to make a late ADR, like 11 am for example? Will there still be characters around, or will DD have missed all the action by then? Also are we likely to get the "leftovers" in terms of food?

I can do an early one if it is better, but I would need to change days as we have a late night before the day I plan on going, hence the plan for a late breakfast.

Don't worry, you will have a great breakfast.

We had a 10:55am last year. Food was still good. Characters were available.

Thanks Squirrel! :) I'm happy now :goodvibes

Do they still do the coconuts & brooms and other activities for the kids at breakfast? I couldn't get a ressie last year so DD didn't get to do it. Thanks

I didn't see that at breakfast. I believe the kids marched arround the room with instruments.

Good enough for me. :) We seem to have got into a rut of doing the same things so I am looking for something different, albeit slightly. Just done an overhaul of my dining plans last night - ADRs tomorrow. Thank you for your help. I'm really looking forward to this one. Also I just happen to love the Poly so don't mind the visit either. ;)

Just seen your signature - you're there the same time as we are. We arrive 2 days later though.

we too are going around this time instead of using a counter service for lunch we are going to the late breakfast.

I know you got your answer, but wanted to jump in too. We booked a 10:45 last year and the food was great and the characters were still out in force! I was also worried about the time. We had been up the night before at MNSSHP, so I wanted to be able to sleep a little late. It worked so well, we will be doing it again.

Just another :thumbsup2 for your late breakfast. We too, went to a late breakfast at 'Ohana after a late night at MNSSHP last fall and had a wonderful, fresh breakfast and ample character time! In fact, Pluto was having a blast with me and it was just us 2 adults. You'll have a great time! I really wanted to go back this year but, we decided to try a couple new character meals. We will definitely go back soon though!

I'm glad you jumped in with your reviews! I also want it to do a late breakfast as we will have a late-ish night before. We do some early mornings and some late nights but I am careful never to have them back to back. I learnt that the hard way a long time ago :lmao:

Less than an hour to go. I never used to feel so uptight when I did this on the phone and keep in mind, last year was 90 days -it's ridiculous! :rotfl2:

How did you do on your ADR's?

I had computer trouble-wouldn't let me online, loading page, etc. I finally got onto the website and booked the one ADR-CM 11:00am.

I just hope I don't have trouble tomorrow.

Hi Squirrel! I was thinking of you this morning and wondering if you were up early again. My advantage is being in the GMT timezone so I had to do it at 11 am - and it's a holiday today so our firm is closed :) - I would never be able to take the time out at work to do it.

Had a few minor panic moments with the website but got on just after 6 am EST and got everything I wanted, mostly exactly on the time I put in and 2 at 5 minutes either side. I got Ohana for 10.40 am (had plugged in 10.45 so really happy about that). I got Cape May for 10.55 (put in 11 am) so I am smiling. Also got my Crystal palace ressies, WCC and House of Blues bang on time as I asked for. Just another 2 to do when the windows open which I will have to do at work but not stressing about that too much. What dates are you there? We are obviously going to be there for the same time (part of it). ;)

ETA: Never mind, I just checked your signature when I had posted.

Sept.30-Oct.14th.

I had trouble getting on this morning also. I thought it was my computer, but maybe it wasn't.

I managed to get my late Chef Mickey's ADR. Then I saw a post about someone getting Donald's Safari Breakfast at 8:05am and thought I should try to get an earlier time for mine. I got 8:05am so now I will cancel my 8:35am. Can't believe that it was available as it's for Fri. Oct 1st.

I still have at least one more morning of waking up early. I just hope I remember to reset the alarm tomorrow-otherwise I will end up sleeping in

I would think after all this that you would have trouble adjusting to sleeping until your normal time again :rotfl2:

I was playing around before my window opened up this morning and CRT breakfasts were available for September 30  So were 8.05 am Crystal Palace breakfasts. I think the fact that public FD has not been offered yet may have something to do with it. Add to that the 180 window. Last year was at 90 days and I couldn't get a few of mine (funny, I didn't bother too much and got them all once we were there over Easter - obviously people's cancellations).

I am going on Free Dining too (refer to my list of ressies to see my beloved QSDP ..... :rolleyes1) I am wondering if there will be bounceback offers this year when we are there if public FD is released over that period this year, or if I would have missed it. I really want to try POP next year but the UK only does FD for moderates (QS) and regular for Deluxes. I really wanted QSDP as I just can't eat a TS every day so I ended up scrapping my WL plans in favor of POFQ.

I just hope FD isn't announce for another day or two, so I can finish my ADR's!

Are you able to upgrade your QSDP to the DDP if you want?

I better get to bed.

I can but Disney UK costs a bit more for the upgraded and once converted to the dollars I will be spending, I am only spending less than $100 more than I would with the DDP for all my TS meals - that includes tips! It is also my first F&W festival and the extra snack credits will be really nice to have. We also always buy refillable mugs and use them a lot due to the length of our stays. House of Blues I have a $25 voucher for our meal there so that won't cost much at all. Most of all, I prefer the QSDP at this stage as I really can't eat a full TS meal every day, never mind all the ADRs to stick to and I am happy with the CS choices - I just pick carefully ;)

Once I factor in all of the above, it really costs me almost the same to pay OOP for these restaurants as it would to upgrade and buy the mugs. Plus I have the extra snack credits and I have no problem using them for a drink in the parks if I am thirsty. Now if I had booked may package in US$, it would be better for me to upgrade. But at a current currency conversion (and Disney UK dining upgrade prices) it would cost me around $15+ per day to upgrade us. In the very likely event that all the TS are too much I can cancel one without feeling we won't have anywhere to eat by doing so.

HOpe you get a good sleep. :goodvibes

Help! The only time I can book Ohana is 11:30. I saw that their breakfast ends at noon. Does it mean I have to finish by noon? No fresh food and characters after noon?

I am closing this 7 yo zombie thread. Please feel free to repost your question
