What's the latest you would schedule for breakfast at Ohana? Thinking of MK at rope drop then heading to Ohana for breakfast couple hours later.

BTW, we have never dined here...how's breakfast and the character interaction?

I have an ADR for 10:50, they take them until 11:00. We are planning AM EMH at MK so we can hit th epark for a couple hours before we go. The TA said I should give myself 30 minutes of travel time to get there. ITs our first trip so I hope it works out.

We really like this breakfast. The character interaction has always been good and I like the later breakfast times, esp. if we're not on the DP and trying to save money. Then it can count as an early lunch for us! As a matter of fact, we never use DP credits for breakfast or lunch b/c we don't feel that you get the most out of the credits. But, I digress....anyway...this is a good character breakfast with basic all you can eat breakfast fare and Mickey waffles. The atmosphere is fun as well! Have a good time!:)

Thanks for the responses! I like the idea of the 10:50 ADR.

We did the last possible ADR at Ohana and NEVER AGAIN. They were running very late on seating people, so we didn't get seated for 45 minutes past our ADR time (we were 20 minutes early, so sat around for more than an hour). The characters went off shift before our food came, so they came around briefly once and were hustled out. We had breakfast in an empty restaurant with no characters - and wasted an hour of our morning waiting to get seated.

That doesn't sound good. When I made my ADR my TA told me that the characters will stay for an hour after the last people are seated. I figured that meant even if they were running late the characters would stay. I don't want to waste a TS if thats whats going to happen, the ONLY reason we are going there is so my ds can see Stitch.

We had a 10:45am and we were seated at 10:40. The restaurant was starting to clear out so the character interaction was fantastic. They came around more times than we could count. They did the parade twice and as breakfast was winding down the character handlers came by to make sure that we had a chance to see them all. The waitress was excellent, every request was met very promptly. The food was fresh and hot.

Generally, getting an ADR at a later time will get you better service and better character interaction. We often will go to MK for morning EMH and then take a breakfast break around 11am. It works out perfectly because to go to EMH you're up really early in the morning and then by 11am you're ready to eat and take a break. I do recommend a sit down meal rather than buffet. Then after you can either return to the park or go back to the resort for a while and then go back to the park for the evening.

I can't say what was supposed to happen, only what did happen. We had characters during coffee - by the time our food arrived, the characters were out of the restaurant. And the restaurant management was not at all interested in hearing my complaint - I didn't even get "Mickey needs to be somewhere else" - we got "its the end of their shift."

We still like Ohana's character breakfast, but no more late character meals for us.
