Ohana fully booked for my stay

They don't do lunch.

Ohana is very popular and has been open to book since 6 months out.

Is it xmas week you're going aswell?

Keep trying everyday online for a cancellation.

Hope you get lucky

no its january i go, i have booked to go kona for breakfast , also im staying at AKL how do you get there, will it be bus?

I don't know exactly when you're going, but 'Ohana's is scheduled to close for a few days in January for a refurb... and people have been having difficulty finding availability right before and after the scheduled dates.

I'm in the same boat! Good Luck, hope you can get a reservation! :)

I think the whole month of January is closed for ADRs for Ohana dinner. Not sure if it's really going to be closed the whole month, I'm hoping they'll unlock some days later.

i agree, keep trying. also you can take the bus to MK, then take the boat over to the Polynesian. Read the signs before the boat lines, so you get on the right one. It's a cute little boat that goes to the Grand Floridian first and then the Polynesian, and back to MK. It's worth going on, it's so scenic. You walk from the dock over the beach area, through the back of the resort, go inside and go up the stairs one level, there is also an elevator. If you're going to take the monorail, the first stop is Contemporary, second is TTC, third is the Polynesian. It drops you off and the restaurant is on the same floor.

I have been trying for a couple of months to get a seat and finally one opened up yesterday for the exact same day and time I wanted. Just keep trying, and cross your fingers. Good luck.

What is it that people like about this restaurant? I think it is only open for dinner but when we were there I thought the food was marginal at best. There were alot of very little kids running around too.

As others have wisely said, keep trying! I am going Thanksgiving week and at first couldn't get 'Ohana or Le Cellier since I booked at the end of July. I kept trying and got 'Ohana after about a week of trying (although admittedly later than I would normally have liked) and just yesterday scored a Le Cellier ADR by subscribing to the November Cancellation thread on this forum.

OMG! They seemed to have opened Ohana's because I just got a reservation for end of January!!!!!! :cool1:

I check every morning for "Dinner" and usually it's like "Sorry no times" (except when I accidentally put Breakfast) so when times came up this morning I was like "Oh must have forgotten to change it..." then I noticed it said 7:15pm! And I freaked out!! So I now have a 6:30pm reservation for 'Ohana's during our trip...

Of course my mom (who actually said this and CRT are the only two restaurants she wants, and suggested we even try splurging and calling LD to see if they had any openings) this morning looked like she could care less about the fact I got the reservation... maybe it's too early for her

It's open for breakfast (character) and dinner. Won't comment on the food because that's just personal preference, but the "kids running around" is part of the restaurant's thing - they have a parade for the kids, a singer, coconut races for kids, etc.

Thanks for the tip on late January.

To everyone looking for dinner in January, I can confirm that January Dinners FINALLY opened up. (Other than the few days that they were goign to close for renovations, I can't confirm or deny that rumor)

Another vote for keep trying. I finally got a dinner ressie for our trip today after weeks of trying. I have also gotten Le Cellier and Coral Reef in the last 2 days after weeks of no luck.

I just booked two Ohana ADRs... one for Jan 12th because I have been trying all my days in a row since I originally tried and found out there was nothing available...

I grabbed that one in case it was a fluke cancellation thing and then I tried for the day I actually wanted originally the 15th and got it for 8pm as well. I'm about to cancel the one for the 12th. I got the first time I asked for so I don't think it's a matter of a cancellation but maybe they opened up the window more or something. Who knows.

But two ADRs in a row for 'Ohana can't be a complete fluke!

Good luck! Pays to keep trying!

Oh and as far as the renovation rumors go, the CM I talked yesterday said 'Ohana is scheduled for refurb January 17th thru the 20th. Maybe they had the ADR window closed for more days around it, waiting for final confirmation of the dates?? Who knows.
