I ate at Ohana several years ago and it was one of my favorite disney meals ever. At the time I was with a group so going as a vegetarian seemed normal because they were eating meat. I would love to take my whole family for our upcoming trip but I am not sure if it is lame to go with a whole table of vegetarians....has anyone done that? What have they been serving lately for vegetarians?

Also, we are not on the DDP so wondering if anyone has gone as a vegetarian recently and it so was your meal at a reduced cost? TIA!

I've been twice in the last year. First time it was exceptional, second time it was good. It depends on the chef. Chef TJ is absolutely wonderful! He loves vegetarians & vegans and made a noodle/veg/tofu dish and then a veg tempura platter and I think he had more in mind when I surrendered. The last time I went I got the noodle veg tofu dish only (on top of the salad and bread everyone gets). There isn't a reduced price for vegetarians, but if you go when the right Chef is working you wouldn't expect one, it was a wonderful meal. The last time I went, was a Monday, so maybe Chef TJ has Sun-Mon or Mon-Tue off?

My family went in February on a day when Chef TJ wasn't there.. At first I was a little disappointed because I had read so much about how great his food is, but I really shouldn't have been disappointed at all. Every time I have been to 'Ohana it has been as a vegetarian and I always leave happy and satisfied with my meal. I believe this past trip marked our 8th visit to 'Ohana. :goodvibes I wouldn't worry about taking a whole group of vegetarians! The meal I had in February was a a rice, veggie and tofu dish with a sauce that was rather similar to a teriyaki. Very tasty and they offered to bring me more, but I just had no room! In addition they also brought out bread, salad, noodles and broccoli and of course the yummy bread pudding. Now if you go on a day Chef TJ is there you might get a totally different meal, but as I said I was very happy with my meal.

And no sadly no discount on veggie meals - they cost the same as a regular meal.
