We are staying at the Poly and have a ressie for Breakfast for our first full morning. I am reading so many great reviews of dinner, I am wondering if I should try to change it for a dinner??? Opinions please!!! Breakfast or dinner???

Since you are staying at the Poly, why not do both? We did the Ohana breakfast twice -- well worth it... it's convenient, the food is good (love the warm pineapple bread), and you get to visit with Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch.... Hard to beat all that!

Dinner -- also convenient, lots of good food (unless you are vegetarian) and fast, good service, some entertainment. I wish I did this one twice too while we were there!

We've done both and will do both again. But if I had to choose just 1, then I would pick dinner. Good grief was it delicious!!! The food just kept coming and coming and dessert was worth it alone! We might eat here again on our next trip but still haven't decided.

We did both last trip. Did dinner on our DDP and breakfast last morning there, OOP. Breakfast is much cheaper, so we didn't care that it was OOP. Dinner was SOOO amazing, loved the atmosphere too. Do both! :thumbsup2

We had bad luck with breakfast at 'Ohana. We went close to the end of breakfast and a lot of the food had been sitting out for awhile. We much preferred dinner.

But if you get an early time, breakfast might be good, too. :confused3

We've done both and they are both awesome meals :goodvibes. I would do a breakfast and a dinner if you can :wizard:.

We do both. Breakfast is just okay but you get to meet the characters. Dinner is a gorgefest as my daughter says and there are games for everyone if you're not bashful

I would definitely do BOTH! We ate there last year and cannot wait to go back. They were both EXCELLENT!

I can't speak for Dinner at Poly..

But I"ve had Breakfast there about four times...and with kids your kiddo's ages...PLEASE don't miss that party !

So I guess I'm voting for both...DONT miss Breakfast! (for the kiddo's) and don't miss Dinner (for PP's!)

"Ohana means family. And family means no one ever gets left behind !

Hugs,
Mary

We always do both, as we do dinner our first night to start off our trip and then the breakfast our last morning to end the trip. They are both great, but if I had to only pick one I would do dinner;)

Thanks all!!! I have been trying, with no luck to add a dinner ressie. I hope something opens up when we are there!!

If you are unable to get reservations before you leave, keep trying when you are at WDW. When we were there in December, we were able to get ressies at Grand Floridian Cafe the same day. If all else fails, be at the restaurant before they open and asked to be put on the wait list. Flexibility is the key in this type of situation.

I got in for both and was not sorry!!!! Both were great!!!!! We even scored a "fireworks view" table and watched Wishes while we had dessert!!!! What a treat!!!!!! Thanks for all of the advice!!

For us BREAKFAST, mmmmmm.

We love the food, love the characters, just loved it. Dinner is good too, but if you already have a breakfast ADR, I say stick to it. As others have mentioned, both would be even better :rotfl2:, but if you can only do one, my vote is breakfast. :goodvibes

Edit: OHHHHH, I just saw your reply before mine :rotfl2: :lmao:
You have already been and went to both.

A view of the fireworks, that is great, did you request a certain table for that or you just lucky, thinking we may make a later ADR for dinner this time and not so early and do just that, watch wishes during dessert :thumbsup2

This is slightly off topic, but wanted to say that even if you are a vegetarian, Ohana is worth the trip! I've already made our ADR's for dinner for our upcoming June trip. The chefs at Disney can work wonders -

While this isn't my story, it goes to show how wonderful Disney can be. And, it allows my non-veggie family and me to have a great dining experience. :thumbsup2

We love dinner there. Did breakfast once with characters, nothing to write home about, IMO. Try Kona for breakfast and Ohana for dinner.

We did dinner there once, and the pipe in the music from wishes, and you can see the fireworks! it was cool, the kids love it, so i would recommend dinner, never done bfast though..
