Ohana for breakfast or dinner with picky eaters

We were one of the last breakfast seating times of the morning and it was very relaxed. The food was very good. The character interaction was also good. For dinner it is much more chaotic, but the food isn't just good, it is great IMO. There is lots of activity, noise and fun going on. It is NOT relaxed. So it depends on what you are looking for. I prefer dinner, my daughter and her husband preferred breakfast.

My family tends to be picky.... and due to health reasons I have no choice other than to be picky... and we actually enjoy both :goodvibes

Actually though we prefer Kona's for both over Ohanas :thumbsup2

Which one is better the breakfast or dinner? Which one has better ambiance? THanks

Well, how picky are the eaters? Have you taken a look at the menus for breakfast and dinner? I happen to love both meals. This year I thought breakfast was slightly better than dinner. But both were excellent. If you haven't already, take a look at the menus and see if you like what they have to offer.

Breakfast is pretty standard fare in my opinion: eggs, breakfast potatoes, Mickey waffles, breakfast breads, fruit (pineapple, cantaloupe, honeydew, watermelon and grapes), sausage and bacon. It's all served family style and all you care to eat.

Good luck to you! :goodvibes

To me, breakfast is breakfast. The characters are what make this meal.

However, dinner is different from other restaurants. The meats they bring around to you on skewers are really good, and you have quite a variety in the sides. They will also bring french fries for your kids if you ask for them. AND if you make a later ADR, you can watch the MK fireworks during your meal or plan it so you can go outside to the beaches at the Poly and watch from there.

They also have a singer and kids games during dinner. It's a little campy, but if you're a child at heart, it's fun.

They are not huge into stich and lilo, but think they are ok. They are not big into participating in the past, but maybe would this time.

If you are truly worried about your picky eaters then it seems breakfast would have more options. Having a child that is so picky that I will just bring snacks for her and feed her before we go somewhere I would choose based on what WE want to eat. My child wouldn't eat anything other than cereal (rice crispies or cheerios) at breakfast and plain pasta or pizza at dinner. Neither of which would probably have those so...I would choose what YOU wanted to do. Maybe that means a great dinner or maybe that means a character breakfast so that your kids can interact with the characters. :confused3 We did lots of character meals just so my DD6 could interact with the characters and she ate crackers, but at least it was somewhere we enjoyed. Good luck!

Mickey is there too!! And the food is good. I'm sure they would find something the bread is great my kids loved it and you always have the fruit and if I remember right, waffles to fall back on. Check out the menus at all ears.net. That might help :)
