Would you book Ohana for both breakfast and dinner on the same trip?
We will be there for 10 days but the only way for us to find ADRs is to eat there for dinner on Thursday and then breakfast the next day (Friday)

is this 2 much?

we do have 5 other character meals but only 3 of those are with stuffed characters (ex: Mickey, Pooh etc) other 2 are with face characters

we will be there with 5 kids ages 9, 7, 5, 5, 1

What do you guys think?

I do it every trip. I also do the Cape May Clam Bake and the Cape May Character Breakfast every trip, too. Both experiences are different enough, that I do not consider it quite the same as eating breakfast and dinner at Chef Mickey's or Crystal Palace. Both of those places have the same characters at either meal...although, I would not let that stop me. I would do that, too, in a heartbeat. But Ohana is very different at breakfast from dinner. It's truly two different shows...just both are housed in the same theater.

I wouldn't let the fact that the meals are back to back deter me. We always do both on our trips. For DH dinner is a must do and breakfast is for the kids! The experience is so different for the two meals that I dont' think it would bother us doing them Thursday/Friday.

We always do 'Ohana for breakfast and dinner each trip. Like the PP said, the experience is very different.

Thats kinda what I was thinking but wanted to convience myself (and DH)
but they both seem different enough that they would be worth the trip up to the Poly again :goodvibes

What happens at the Ohana breakfast? I've never been, just konw the characters that are there.

It's the Best Friend's breakfast with Mickey (sporting a Hawaiian shirt), Pluto, Lilo and Stitch. They usually have a parade with the characters that the kids can join in on. It's a lot of fun and the food is very good. Hope this helps.

Go for it. :thumbsup2 I'll take any excuse to visit the Poly! :cloud9: And Ohana breakfast and dinner are both soooo yummy, there is no reason why you shouldn't do both. :)

Do they do the coconut races for both?

It is same place but very different food and atmosphere since breakfast includes characters, DS loves it. We only like hot breakfast so it's fine there. DH and I love dinner at Ohana. It's just too good to miss, despite waiting. We are debating if we should do two dinners this trip. :rotfl:

Though it's not on my "must do " list, I voted yes. Breakfast and dinner are two completely different experiences, just like Cape May, 1900 Park Fare and Boma are two completely different experiences at Breakfast versus dinner.

We did both last trip, but we were also staying at the Polynesian so it was convenient. Not sure if I would do it if not staying on site. Of the 2 meals, dinner was definitely better. Ohana really did not serve anything special that you couldn't get some place else for breakfast.

I say go for it.....it's a different experience for breakfast and dinner and both are great :thumbsup2.

We've been for both breakfast and dinner several times and we've only seen the coconut races at dinner ;).

We had both in '08 and will be doing both this year. Very different experiences. I say go for it! :thumbsup2

I'm doing both this trip. I did the breakfast last time and it was a must do again for me. And dinner just looks really good!!
I say do it!

Doing both is fine, but I have my doubts about doing them back-to-back, dinner followed the very next morning for breakfast.

If you're at all like me, you aren't going to want much breakfast if you've had an 'Ohana dinner just the night before.

Kinda like my first ever visit to CRT was the morning after my first ever Hoop-de-Doo. I had no appetite at all, until luckily just when we checked in at CRT, I finally felt a desire to eat. (And this was back in 2001, when the food at breakfast was still really good.)

my dinner ADR is at 7:30pm and my breakfast ADR is for 10:40am so I think we will be hungry by then
We have a good appetite:goodvibes
