we are staying at the polynesian in less than 10 days. We've never been to Ohana before. I booked the breakfast for us a while back on a day we are going to mostly chill by the pool (weather permitting). Then my inlaws decided to join us for a few days of our trip and I was lucky enough to get an ADR for around the same time (9am) for all of us.

At this point it was less than a month out so in looking for dinner plans all I could get for the 7 of us was for an early dinner (3:30pm) at Crystal Palace. I know their dinner isn't the greatest but thought we'd be hungry enough by then and then could spend a few hours at MK.

THEN I got super lucky and snagged a 5:30 Ohana dinner ADR for that night. I'd love to try Ohana for dinner but it happens to be the same day we are doing b'fast there and it means not doing the park that evening??

Which would be better - CP in the park or Ohana back at the Poly?

As I am sure you know, breakfast at Ohana's is a character event and dinner is not. Totally different experiences. No reason why you wouldn't enjoy both for different reasons. If Ohana's is on your "must do" list and this is the day that you can get, I wouldn't not go based on having been there for breakfast.

I did them both on the same day when were there in October and I don't regret it. We were staying in the Poly so it was super convenient. The two are really VERY different experiences in the same location, so I don't think you have anything to worry about. :thumbsup2

I have done them both on the same day and enjoyed them both. If you have a 5:30 dinner reservation, there is no reason that you cannot go over to a park after wards. Just jump on the monorail and you are back at Magic Kingdom in a matter of minutes.

We've done both Ohana brkfst & dinner on the same day before - not a problem for us, we love 'em both :thumbsup2 As previous posters have said - they are completely different experiences but both are very good.
