My fiance' and I finally were able to book an 'Ohana reservation for our honeymoon after weeks on end of trying! The reservation is for 6:55 PM. My question is if I would like to request seating for fireworks viewing, how would I go about it? When I called Disney they informed me to wait until I got there to ask. Is this true? I'm happy to have gotten in regardless, but really would like an extra special experience for our honeymoon. Thanks!

You can ask but remember this is a large restaurant and all of the tables are not in view of the fireworks.

The first 4 rows of seats from the picture windows will allow you to see the fireworks should memory serve me right but explaining your want at the podium can't hurt.
Enjoy your meal and life together.

The only way to request it is at the podium at check-in. They may or may not be able to accommodate you. If you don't get a table with a good view, you can always go down to the beach after dinner and see the fireworks from there.

It's not an impressive view and is hardly worth the trouble of even asking for a table with a view. You are better off having dinner before or after the fireworks and watching them from someplace else like the Poly beach or the 4th floor observation deck at CR or if timing permits from MSUSA.

Although they won't kick you out of the restaurant, if the fireworks are at 9pm (and you're booked for 6:55pm), they may push for you to leave so that other people can use the table.

Yeah, I’d agree. 2 hours is a long time to take a table at one of the most popular restaurants on property.

You're much better off eating earlier and then getting a seat on the Poly beach, IMO. There are only a small handful of tables with a fireworks facing window view.

At 'Ohana, the earlier you eat the more apt you are to be seated with the families of small children who are concerned with getting their children fed and bedded or off to the next FP. There are frequently seating queques until somewhere around 8:00 at which point it's much easier to be seated within a short time of arrival and enjoy a quieter and leisurely meal; a honeymooning couple might want to eat as late as possible. As for the amount of window seats my recollection is there are many (the restaurant is shaped like a rectangle with windows on a long side) as well as the rows after that you can see from but there are no 2 tops that I can remember right next to the glass. Checking youtube videos will give the OP an opportunity to check for themselves.

@Disnerd6838 you might want to consider setting up a restaurant search at touring plan to see if you can get a later ADR.

'Ohana is not known for their timeliness in seating.

^^ This.

Most of the seating at the windows has a very obscured view of the castle, due to vegetation. Only a few tables along the one set of windows have what I'd call a "good view" of the fireworks, and you'll have many of your "cousins" in the restaurant crowding in behind you to see the fireworks.

A better plan is to eat, and then leave the restaurant and go to the Poly's beach to see the fireworks.

I agree with the other posters. When the fireworks start other people will step up to the windows to watch so even if you have a view from your table...you might be sharing your space with strangers. I, too like the idea of after you eat to go out and find a spot on the Poly beach to watch the fireworks. I am a sucker for those little tiki torches. It will feel a little more intimate out there than in the restaurant.

Happy Planning and Honeymoon!

We are usually a party of 3, and there are three tops along the window as well as some four tops. We’ve always lucked out to be seated at the window somehow. Last time we watched the fireworks and it was awesome. We were seated at 7:00 and fireworks were at 8. Every time we walk out of that restaurant we walk past an area that has no view of the windows and say, “we’re so glad we’ve never been seated here!” Good luck!

Our last visit, we requested a table to see fireworks. The cast member, Robin, said they were so busy they couldn’t promise that. A few minutes later, our name was called and I was surprised to see Robin waiting for us. I even commented that they must be super busy to have her both checking in and taking us to our table. She said she wanted to be the one to take us to the best seat in the house. It was a table for 2 right next to the window. We were able to watch both the electric water parade and fireworks. True pixie dust! We looked for her after but were unable to find her. Only time that happened but it was so fun!

We eat dinner there twice every trip and every single time they have seated us with a nice view of the fireworks. Of course I always make the ADR for 20:00 hours and have kids. This is as close as they will come to the fireworks,

Wow thanks for the responses everyone! I'm going to pitch the idea for watching on the beach to my (soon to-be) wife!
