Ohana entertainment

What exactly does the entertainment include-I know that there are coconut races and perhaps hula lessons, but I am worried about the music. It sounds like it might border on annoying. We have ADRS there on the 24th, and this is the one ressie that I cannot decide on!!!!

It does get a little loud, but it's not constant, they do have lulls in between activities. Also, it's not so distracting that you cannot have a normal conversation.

The entertainment (IMO) is really geared towards kids. If you think you may find it annoying, get a table far away from an aisle (where all the coconut pushing, hula dancing, lei wearing, ukulele playing action is). A seat in a corner, with a view of the window would be good. As the previous post mentioned, there are lulls in the entertainment and I think you could tune it out.
The food is good here and the atmosphere is nice. BTW, this is a good place for a "grown-up" cocktail too.

While we enjoyed our meal there, it WAS annoying. Thankfully for us, we made the annoying singing and commentary part of our own table entertainment

It's geared towards children. We were seated too close to the "MC" and if dined there again, would asked to be put far far away as it was hard to hear ourselves talk at times.

If you do go here, don't think about getting a table in the corner...do it. We ate there a couple years ago and never again. Food wasn't bad, service wasn't great, did have a nice bar....but, we sat near the 'entertainment' (not knowing that before we sat down) and have never seen so many rude people in my entire life. Parents leaning over our table to take pictures of their kids.....and I mean literally leaning over our table while we are eating - even bumping into us. And we had a toddler with us but he didn't want to participate - was a little shy and tired at the time. People moving over towards the window and standing between your table and the windows so they could see the fireworks - not like we would like to see them, too.

Personally, I would go to Kona Cafe for dinner and then stop at the bar for a cocktail.
