This will be our first trip and after reading these boards and from the suggestions of friends, we think a stop at Ohana's is a must. That said, I am not sure if we should try and book for dinner or the Character B-fast instead....or both? We will be staying at the Poly, so I suppose we could do both quite easily but do you suggest that? We will be there for 6 days in late October. Fwiw...we don't plan on doing any other character meals....as my kinds are a 10 and 8 and aren't really into princesses and such. Still, might be fun to get their picture with the ones at Ohana.

I would recommend breakfast - we love it. Last time we ate late-morning and we pretty much had the characters all to ourselves, since all the other families had rushed off to the parks.

We've done dinner and I liked it very much. My DH, not so much. It was pretty rushed, as I recall.

Since 'Ohana ADR's can be very difficult to get (worse if you are going during Free Dining) why not see what you can get and go from there?

I would do both (have and will again)

The character inetaction at breakfast rocked and so did the food. Our CM treated us just like family too!

Dinner though, the food was soooo good (The chicken wings were way up there on my fave list next to the pot stickers). Now don't get me wrong I've heard complaints about the meat they served being "tough" but the night we went, it was tender and juicy!

Is it hard to book even at 180 days out? I don't think my 180 comes up until late April.

ok, good to know. We don't have a problem going to a restaurant twice but didn't know if this was silly based on all the options out there for us. DH is a huge wing fan so he will love it.

We enjoy both meals at Ohana, and since you are staying at the Poly, I would say trying both is not a bad idea. I also definitely recommend Kona Cafe for breakfast at the Poly--probably our favorite breakfast food at Disney! :)

If I had to pick 1 it would be the breakfast it is my families must do now. It's one of the only places that EVERYONE loves the food!

It is my family's favorite place to have dinner but I would do both if staying at the Poly especially is you are planning a character meal. It is better than most.

Yes, it can be, because of the 180+10 advantage.

Anyway, my family loves both breakfast & dinner there. Your kids will love meeting the characters (mine do at 16 & 12yo).

I would do breakfast. Both meals are good but breakfast there is alot of fun and the character interaction is great.

We loved the breakfast at 'Ohana. The POG juice was delicious. Fun atmosphere too.
