The past 2 trips we've taken we had planned to do Ohana for Breakfast (my son loves Stitch) but eventually made other plans. This time we're back to doing the dining plan and I've booked us for one morning at Ohana. I was wondering if anyone has visited recently (like in the past 6 months) and how it was? I read some feedback from a year or two ago and I know things can change quickly experience AND food wise at most restaurants on property.

We were there in June and had a great breakfast, very good service and the characters were a blast. Pluto was sitting on the floor (like a dog!!) with all the kids and really cutting up.

We do not enjoy 'Ohana for dinner, but we thought breakfast was great -- we hadn't done breakfast there for a long time - about 7 or 8 years - and it was as good as we remembered.

I can tell you about it next week thursday when we have breakfast there. :thumbsup2 We've never been so I hope it's a good experience.

we were there in May and had a character breakfast each morning- this was the last one of the trip and we thought it was our best meal. We felt the least rushed at this one, the food was great (yummy juice) loved the characters and the parade- Mickey even got my son up and had his arm around him the entire parade- it was a magical way to end our trip!!
I hope you have a good experience there too. We will be going back again February 6th on our last day again this year!!

This was a great place -- ate there twice in Oct. 2009. Great characters, great food, great location!

Pluto, Mickey, Lilo, and Stitch were great! Loved the hawaiian costumes / shirts they wore. No rush. All four signed autographs in our books and on T-Shirts. We ordered T-shirts from Disney Store with Stitch. They will sign nearly anything as long as it is not worn at the time of autograph. You can find some Lilo and Stitch stuff in the gift shop on the floor below Ohana.

The food was delicious. Nothing unusual but the usual breakfast foods (eggs, sausage, potatos, etc.) were very good. The fresh warm pinapple-coconut and cinnamon raisin bread were delicious -- the bread and coffee would have been enough for me.

We stayed at the Polynesian, but if you're not, it's a great resort -- take a walk along the beach/lagoon after breakfast. Take the monorail back to the parks -- when you get off the monorail, there's a short walkway straight to Ohana. You can also walk through the Polynesian resort to get to the Transportation and Ticket Center.

PS -- You've been to Disney a LOT! That's wonderful!

We were there just last week. It is a great breakfast, excellent juice and great character interaction with lilo, stitch, mickey, and pluto. They do a parade around the restaurant with the kids...its great!!!

We ate breakfast there 3 weeks ago and it was great, we loved the food and of couse Lilo & Stitch.

One of the best breakfasts of our trip - and we did a few, Chef Mickeys, Park Fare, Tusker House, H & V, Boma and many more CS.

We really enjoyed this breakfast in November. It wasn't packed, and the layout of the restaurant makes it less noisy than other character meals we've been to. The characters were a lot of fun. The food was fine - I'm not a big breakfast person - and the juice was delicious!

We were there the first week of December and all agreed that the food and service was wonderful and we had a great time with the characters! I'd definitely go back again.

Ditto what everyone else has said.

We were there last Friday for breakfast and we all loved it. When I made the ADR, I was worried that we would be disappointed because there wouldn't be nearly as many selections as the breakfast buffets, but then I figured there would be enough. The food was absolutely fantastic and we all had plenty to eat (including seconds on Mickey waffles, the bread basket, and biscuits!). I also really enjoyed having it be family style and not needing to worry about everyone's going up to get their food.

Character interaction was good (in between Cape May Cafe and Crystal Palace), wait time was minimal even though transportation took longer than we anticipated and we were late, our server was very sweet (although slightly frazzled at the same time), and the atmosphere was neat (we got to sit right next to the flaming fire which the kids really liked). For the rest of the day, we kept randomly bringing up how great the food was there, and we'd definitely like to go back.

Ohana's is Great for Breakfast as well as the Dinner. I would highly recommend it. It is one of our families favorite restaurants. :worship:

We have never had breakfast there but I have heard good things! We ALWAYS eat breakfast at Kona Cafe right next door. That could be a back up plan for you : )

Just went there last week and it was our FAVORITE breakfast of the trip. (We also had breakfast at Tusker House and Crystal Palace.)

It was wonderful, though. The potatoes are to die for!! I've been craving them since that morning!

We were there last Tuesday. The food was great. The potatoes and juice were to die for..I have been craving that juice for days. The character interaction was good...just one thing. I had no idea what people on these boards were talking about when they mntioned the Brazilian tour groups. We sat down at a table right near 50 young women. Each lady (average age 20) wanted a autograph from the characters, then a picture of the entire group, then an individual picture with each character with every camera (50 girls x' 50 pictures x's 50 cameras) it was a mess. After many people complained security tried to step in. After waiting over an hour the characters left for a break. When they returned they came right to our table. Then the girls came to our table and literally yanked Mickey away. Finally the lone security guard got some back up. I guess this really isn't an 'ohana thing. We will be having breakfast at 'Ohana every trip now but if we see a large group of Brazilians we will ask to move in front of them.

We didn't have a great experience for breakfast last June. Our food was lukewarm and we never even got to see Mickey, he just skipped our table. When we talked to the manager we were told we would have to wait a full rotation before we could see Mickey even though we were skipped  We chose not to wait and left.

We did have a wonderful dinner a couple of nights later and we are planning breakfast again because it seems like a fluke that we had a bad experience.

Yikes! We were there last Tuesday also. Glad we missed that!

We really enjoyed the food. Got seconds on most everything. The characters seemed a bit rushed to us, but then again, my girls don't really interact with the characters because they are a bit shy-they hug and get pictures taken with them and that's about it.

We had a different character breakfast every morning. This was one of my husband's favorites. It was also convenient because we did Magic Kingdom that day.

We were just there last week too and we won't be going back. It wasn't bad, just nothing special at all. The food is totally regular breakfast food. Sausage, bacon, potatoes, eggs, mickey waffles. Same thing you get at any CS if you ask me. Totally not impressed. Tusker was much better, and Boma even better. I didn't think the characters were anything spectatular either. They come around, sign books, pose and leave. Not that I was expecting anything else, but it was just very predictable and nothing memorable at all. I'd rather go where there's more options food-wise. Now dinner, that's another story. Will never miss this one as long as they have it!

We do O'Hana every trip. My daughter's favorite character is Stitch. The food is wonderful here. I've never been disappointed in the food or characters. I have had slow servers but not the worst I've had. I absolutely love the breakfast potatoes here and the juice! Wish I had some now.

My wife and I were there with our son who was 15 months old at the time and we all had a blast - he especially loved it. The characters (Mickey, Lilo, Pluto and Stitch spent ample time with us and we did not feel rushed. Food was great too. Would go back in a heartbet. I feel this breakfast was much better than the character lunch we had at Crystal Palace on the same trip. That left much to be desired. Have fun!!
