I'm having a hard time deciding whether to do breakfast or dinner at Ohana. I thought breakfast because my 4 year old loves stitch, but then I thought dinner because the food sounds really good. HELP! :confused3

We had our first meal at O'Hana in November. It was the absolute best DINNER that we have had so far. The food was just delicious and you could get as much as you wanted. I think DH's stomach almost popped open for sure that night!! :earseek:

We booked a late (sort of) dinner. By the time we were finishing up, it was dark and the light parade had just begun on the lake. O'Hana has a wall of windows that overlooks the lake, and parade, and pool area. It was an incredible end to a great meal.

If you can, try to request a table next to the windows.

You won't be sorry with either. Character interaction is great and the food is hot and delicious, but standard breakfast fare. If you go when they open, you should enjoy extra character interaction (if it isn't crowded). On the other hand, dinner is also scrumptious and a little more exotic and the kids activities like the coconut sweep and the hula hoops are fun! I think we've decided to alternate each trip. Have fun!

Only breakfast at 'Ohanas is a character meal, correct?
Yet they have "fun stuff" (Coconut races, etc) at dinner, correct? :confused3

I agree with crazy bc having breakfest with a charecter is ok but a wonder dinner and maybe a parade would be awesome :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Our dinner at Ohana was the best meal of the week. (also ate at concourse steak, whispering canyon, liberty tree).

We were stuffed after the appetizers, the "activities" for kids happened about every 30 minutes.

Best $100 bucks of the week. (2 adults/1 child, 1 bloody mary and 1 lapu lapu). (also had a couple at the bar prior to seating ... lapu lapu's are wonderful)

This is the only meal we'll book again.

We ate there for dinner last month and it was just O. K. Maybe it just wasn't for us! :confused3

wow? breakfast not dinner? ok meal? I have eaten at le cellier, chefs de france, tempanyaki, boma, kona, chef mickeys, whispering canyon, hoppdedoo, norway, narakesh, concourse steakhouse, italy, primetime cafe, scifi dinner, mama melrose, crystal palace, liberty square, cape mays, and probably some more i am forgetting. Aside from the big dog restaurants(artist point, california grill, victoria and als, citricos, etc) There arent many restaurants that are as good as OHANAS as far as 7 people in my party were concerned on Jan 8, 06. (2 adults age 60, 4 agults 22-27, and 1 8 year old)
AWESOME Food.

The best meal we had for our recent WDW trip was O'Hana (dinner). Great food, atmosphere, service and Lapu Lapu's! Our kids (9 and 11) loved the coconut races and all the other things they did with the kids. We had an awesome view of the castle which just added to the whole experience.

What is served for breakfast?

You can Get mickey waffles and eggs anywhere, but Dinner at Ohana is something special. Have the dinner if you can't do both.

I would vote for breakfast.

'Ohana for dinner used to be my favorite place on property to have dinner. I ate there six times and loved everytime, except the last. I kept my reservation and an open mind, but unfortuntely, the menu changes did not agree with me. The old crispy, warm shrimp wontons were sticking on my mind as I shifted around the cold wonton chips with three dips. (peanut was good)The stir fried vegetables were hard and not tasty and I remembered how I gobbled up the old green beans with bacon and onions. The meats were still good. The shrimp was excellent. The sausage was like tasteless warmed bologna- yuck! The salad was still fabulous! The potatoes were good, warm, cheesy potatoes, but I think they really don't go with the rest of the meal. I much prefered the yummy fried rice. The dessert, however, was even better than the old dessert of fresh pineapple and yummy caramel dip. The new dessert is a bananas foster bread pudding that is to die for. The bananas foster coconut caramel sauce is amazing. Since I didn't care for anything in the meal except the shrimp and salad, I had plenty of room.
Don't know if I would go back- if I could just get the dessert, I probably would, but otherwise, I just don't like the way it is.

I love Stitch and the breakfast has excellent character interaction. They serve fruit, eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, Hawaiian bread and Island potatoes. I would definitely give it a shot, especially if you are traveling with a Stitch fan.

For a dinner at the Poly, I'd recommend Kona which has never disappointed. I have loved every meal I've had there- particularly the 2 mahi mahi dishes- the grilled mahi mahi Hawaiian lunch plate with mac salad and sticky rice and the macadamia crusted mahi mahi for dinner. Desserts and coffee are awesome, too. If you want to see Wishes or the Electrical Water Pageant, eat a little earlier and walk down to the beach at the Poly where you'll have an even better view without having to hope you get a window seat.

Enjoy whatever you decide. Just wanted to let you know what I thought. :wave2:

I'd go with dinner. I love WDW breakfasts, but there are others I'd do first (like Crystal Palace, for sure!) The breakfast isn't anything super-special, but the dinner experience kinda is.
