Is it overkill to do both Breakfast and Dinner at Ohana or is it worth doing both in one trip?

Definitely not overkill - Two very different experiences. We enjoy the character breakfast as it is relaxed and served family style so we don't need to get up to get food. We've always found the food at breakfast to be very good - no complaints from us.
'Ohana dinner is our favorite meal of the trip and is always on our must do list!

We've got both booked for our upcoming trip, like the PP said it's completely different food at each meal and the characters are only there for breakfast not dinner. Depending on the time of your dinner reservation you might be able to watch Wishes from there too. I love the theming of the Polynesian so I'm quite keen to spend time there (we're staying at a Value resort) but if you want to mix things up you could always swap out an ADR for Chef Mickeys or 1900 Park Fare instead? I might cancel our breakfast ADR but only because we've already got two other character meals booked and I'm not all that keen on breakfast food however it is good value on DDP so if we don't need to use the credits elsewhere we'll probably go.

I agree, two very different experiences. We love both breakfast and dinner as well :goodvibes.

We did both on our last trip this summer and loved it, we would def do both again.

We have done both is one trip before. Don't think that it is a bad thing because they are 2 different experiences. Dinner is amazing and breakfast is a character meal. Stitch is my favorite character so we enjoy breakfast there.

Never done the breakfast, but up until our visit last week we loved eating dinner there. The sweet and sour sauce changed and the other food didn't seem as great as well. Reconsidering our Christmas reservations. Sad day.

We often schedule both meals. They are n the same restauant but not the same experience.

We did both and loved both. It's nice that they bring the breakfast to your table and it's served family style. For my family, that makes a big difference as getting up to go to a buffet can be challenging. Dinner was super fun and yummy.

We did both at our last trip and enjoyed both of them, we'd do it again. I thought breakfast was more relaxed, loved how they brought the characters to you, but the bread pudding is delicious at dinner!

Do both! The breakfast is a great character breakfast--our kids loved it when they were the ages of yours. Bringing the food to the table is so much easier with kids than a buffet. And the food is fine--standard breakfast fare.

Dinner is a completely different experience--won't even feel like the same restaurant.

Just a personal opinion, but I would just pick one or the other. I really enjoy both experiences, but there are just so many places to go and so little time! Unless I were staying at the Poly and it were a matter of convenience, I would mix it up. Have a great time, whatever you decide! :flower1:

I almost had both scheduled in one day, lol. Breakfast and dinner are completely different experiences. For my kiddo (who am I kidding? me too!) Stitch is not to be missed. Dinner is an experience unto its own. We are still doing both just not in the same day.

I wish we could've snagged both breakfast and dinner during our trip, but have only found dinner. My oldest loves lilo and stitch!

We had both booked for our last trip with dinner planned for our first night and breakfast planned for our last morning (we stayed at the Poly). But after having the dinner and a few other heavy breakfasts over the course of several days, we cancelled the 'Ohana breakfast. We thought it would just be too much and we don't typically eat bacon, sausage, or biscuits, so we would basically just be eating the eggs and fruit. Plus my son (and DH!) had no idea who Stitch is. I was kind of sad to cancel, because I'd read good things, but we really wouldn't have gotten our money's worth out of it nor appreciated the character interaction as much as others.

We've never done the breakfast so I can't speak to that but we feel the dinner is a must do at least once :) we've done it every year we've gone except one and we love it every time!! So much delicious food from the starting bread to apps to the main course.. And that dessert  I'd probably go just for that lol

I think we're going to do both! We have booked dinner on our arrival night, before Pirates and Pals cruise. I think we're going to do breakfast at 'Ohana on our Animal Kingdom day.
