We are thinking of trying Ohana's during our Disney trip in March- have never even stepped foot in the Polynesian and look forward to seeing it.

The menu appeals to us but we are also wondering about whether we can stay on premises to view the boat parade or fireworks afterwards? What time do they occur?
We'd probably look to make an ADR for around 6:15-6:30 as we have a 6 yr old grandson who will want to eat!

ANother question is transportation. We are staying offsite and will have a car- do we drive to the Polynesian or to the TTT and take the monorail?
When you take the monorail from the TTT how do you get there?

Your help is appreciated!!

Yes, you can stay to watch the fireworks and the Electric Water Parade. They're best seen from the beach. Depending on the schedule, I'm not sure how to schedule your dinner. Fireworks times vary, but I'm pretty sure the EWP is always at 9 PM. I think it hits the Poly at 9 or 9:05 PM, so that's pretty late with a 6-ish dinner reservation.

You could browse in the gift shops or take your grandson to the arcade - he'll probably love that.

You can drive to the Poly with a dinner reservation. Just tell the guard you have a reservation and they will direct you to self-parking or you can valet park (was $10 + tips in January 08).

Enjoy the Poly -- it's my favorite resort!

you can stay on the property to see the parade and fireworks, but it is SOOOOOOOOO magical from inside ohana. we went last month and had the perfect view of both the parade and the fireworks. if you think the little one can hadle it i would push your ressie to 830ish and then eat rrreeeaaallllyyyy slow (and ask for a table with views of the MK). there were plenty of kids around your DGS age. the atmosphere is so fun!

Hi. Ohana's is sooo great! The boat parade info sheet says at allears says that it starts at 9pm, but if the MK fireworks are at 9pm, then the boat parade should be by about 9:20pm. Yes you can watch it from Poly even if you are not staying there. You could probably park at Poly but the TTC is close by. If you did take the resort monorail, it would be 2 stops, i believe it goes to the Contemporary and then the Poly. It'll announce the stops and plus you'll see the Poly so you wont miss it. You'll love Ohana, it is our Favorite meal!!!!
