My 5 yo is allergic to nuts and we have never been there. Last trip I avoided it because she was 2 and newly diagnosed...we ate at Kona Cafe instead and watched ohana from afar! Now, I’m more confident about how to deal with her allergies and keep her safe. I also know disney does a pretty good job. Has anyone with nut allergies eaten safely at Ohana? DD and DS love Lilo and Stitch. But their whole menu seems to be ALLLLL peanut.

Characters are only there for breakfast. Aside from the coconut bread, there shouldnt be anything else unless they cook in peanut oil. I would inform your server. I know they accommodate gluten allergies by cooking the food separately.

Disney restaurants are extremely accommodating to people with allergies.

Last summer we ate at ‘Ohana for both breakfast and dinner. Our friend has more allergies than I care to list. We made note of all allergies when we made reservations. Our server was fully aware when he came over, but it doesn’t hurt to mention in case there’s been a mistake. The chef came to the table and consulted with all of us. Three of us were able to eat the standard fare with minus an item or two. Our friend had a specially prepared meal by the chef. He delivered her food himself and checked on her periodically. I’ve never seen such personalized service in my life.

Assuming you carry epipens

I don’t care how careful a restaurant is, the guests can be clueless. Peanut sauce on hand/fingers can be on chair, bathroom doors sink, etc. the restaurant will usually not serve the table any of the allergy items. You just have to be vigilant, as I am sure you are in every day life.

And this is why we avoid Ohana. Peanut sauce could be smeared anywhere. Not worth the risk. I trust the kitchen for the most part given previous experience with Disney restaurants. I don’t trust that every speck of peanut sauce has been cleaned up from past guests.

my son has a peanut/nut allergy and we have eaten at Ohanas with him. We have never had an issue It helps that he is a picky eater so he will not eat anything frim the usual menu. We order him food from the kids menu they offer. I think he only ate French fried on out last visit there. Listing an allergy on your ADR or telling them you have a person with an allergy when you arrive and they do a great job taking care of you. Also where my son goes his EpiPen goes.

Dinner is the bigger issue vs. breakfast. My older one is PA and TA and on our most recent 'Ohana breakfast visit, they even changed their stance on the bread. It used to be a no-no, but they said this time they said it was fine. Turns out that many of the chefs and powers that be don't get that coconut isn't normally considered a tree nut allergy risk. Dinner is a different story with the peanut sauce and we've had them accidentally bring it to us, but we've eaten there at least 4-5x at dinner and never had a problem.

The only peanut is on their dinner menu and it is a sauce served on the side. Normally for those with peanut allergy they won't bring the peanut sauce to the table.

There are many people in an allergy social media group I am in that eat at Ohana for dinner with peanut and tree nut allergies with no issues.

I am ana milk, peanut, tree nuts, seafood. I have done breakfast at Ohana [we wiped down the seat and table] with no problem. I can't do dinner there only because they only cook shrimp in the restaurant and I am airborne reactive to seafood. If it weren't for the seafood allergy I do would dinner there without concern.

As with any restaurant at Disney, list the allergies on your ADR, make sure to note them when you check in and again to your server, and ask to speak with a chef [for table service] or manager/supervisor who is allergy trained [for quick service].
