My family has never been to O'hana and I am really looking forward to it. The thing is my son will not eat any of the food. I knew that when I booked but the rest of us really want to go. I understand they have an alternative kids menu basically what they have on the kona menu, if i am correct. And if so do you pay Kona's price or O'hana's 11.99 price. Want to make sure before I go how this works. TYIA

I couldnt get search to work, I am sure there is a thread on it somewhere.

We have it booked for October and know the kids can order off the Kona menu for their meal but was wondering about the Kona kids desserts as DD HAS to have a kiddie kone. ;)

I don't know anything about the cost, but my kids had the choice of chicken tenders or macaroni and cheese (the orange kind, like Stouffers).

DS got grilled cheese there so that's another "option". If you're on the DDP, the kids meal will be one credit. Now if you're paying, there are lot of reports of it being charged both ways - 'Ohana price or Kona. We were charged the 'Ohana price. I would assume you'd pay the $11.99 and be pleasantly surprised if that's not the case. Other desserts are available at additional charge.

There were no additional desserts available when we were there in Feb. We had bread pudding while our kids just had bowls of plain ice cream.

Do you just let the server know when you're seated that you'd like to order off the Kona's children's menu?

My DS, same thing about not eating their food...we went to Ohana and we just asked for a hot dog for him expecting to pay the $11.99. We jokingly told DS that it had better be the best tasting hot dog on the planet for $11.99. But we had no need to fear, they just charged us for a kids meal. We really appreciated that. :thumbsup2

Just to let you know I contacted two managers of Ohanas today because I was concerned about teens not liking the menu, and they assured me that if that is they case they too can order off the childrens menu. I do not expect to pay anything less than the adult price but at least my children, neices and nephews should be happy with the choices, while the grown ups will love the regular menu.
