'Ohana 6-8-10

We went over to 'Ohana tonight. It was kicking.

The salad and bread were good.

I actually thought that the broccoli was good. Everyone thought the noodles were good.

Just in time for "seasonal pricing" the replaced the turkey with chicken breast. Some people will like it better, some won't, many won't care.

I thought the shrimp were good tonight; they can sometimes be kind of dry at 'Ohana, but tonight they were very good. My pork had way too much sage on it, but that is probably just the luck of the draw.

Hulas were danced

Coconuts were raced

My cousins provided fine service. Overall

somehow I missed those but they must have been good the way everyone else snagged them.

I know I am in the minority here....I really hated Ohana. I am not a picky eater, but I thought the food was terrible. The dumplings were from the freezer, the meat was dry or fatty, and the shrip was mushy. The kids did have fun....

Twinglemum it is bread pudding with a banana sort of sauce. There is vanilla ice cream, and hot caramel to pour over it. I like it.

Hey we were there too! 7:30 ish to about 9pm. We were seated near the fire/counter. If you noticed a woman frantically walking around in tears, that was me. My dd 7 got up for one of the hula lessons, and disappeared. Security found her over at the Grand Floridian after she apparently left the restaurant and hopped on the monorail. DH missed out on dessert as he had to go and pick her up. The food was delish but I missed out on most of it while my friend and I searched for dd. Wish we could go back! The potstickers were wonderful and I loved the dessert.

Oh how I cannot wait until July 18th for my dinner at 'Ohana. I am actually hoping they keep the chicken - I would prefer that to the turkey. Thanks for the review. Your pictures are adorable!

Very interested in the chicken over the turkey! I cannot wait to go back here on Saturday and devour endless amounts of those delicious noodles! YUM! =)
