We actually got a look at the big burning ball of gas in the sky today, at first I couldnt remember what it was, then I went outside and felt the warmth on my face and it came back to me. I hope it comes back again soon

Katrina and Rita almost left me unemployed

We got hit by Katrina as well (most people don't remember that it hit Florida too), although it wasn't nearly as strong as Wilma turned out to be.

Those 2 years were crazy when it came to hurricanes, the year of Katrina, Wilma, the year when 5 hurricanes hit Florida crisscrossing the state (not all at the same time...lol).

Thankfully the last two years have been DEAD when it comes to hurricanes. That's the problem with hurricanes, they hit, then you might not get another one for 10 years. And everyone gets complacent and forgets, and then WHAM, it slams you on your butt again.

Speaking of weather, we have gotten more snow this year than the past 4 years combined so it seems that the weather patterns were giving us a chance to catch our breath and then WHAM! Double whammys for us when you consider the price of heating oil this year. Looks like a record year for snow in a lot of areas, too bad I don't snow ski or have a snowmobile!

Okay, I have had enough. Please pray that this next storm goes south! Sorry Illinois! They are saying we could get another 6 to 13 inches on Sunday.
