The bulb on our big screen tv burnt out last night so it's obviously not working. Just in time for the Super Bowl this weekend.

DH is desperately trying to figure out how to get a replacement bulb ASAP. I don't think I've ever seen him move so fast to get something fixed

OMG! DS just had to buy one for his too and it was $250 and took about 2 weeks to get here. I hope yours isn't like that!

He found one...phew

He called first thing when the store opened and is on his way to get it.

Now if only he would get our snowblower fixed!

I was going to say that you could come to our house. We have 2 big screen tv's and we don't care about the Superbowl. Now that's "oh the horror!!!" from all the threads I keep reading here on the Disboards

LOL! Well, the Superbowl is being held in my own backyard this year and I don't give a rat's rear. Saying that around here is practically sacrilege.

My Dh would just use the broken TV as an excuse to go out to a sports bar to watch the game. Or to his friend's house. It would not be a big emergency.

Now..if the TV were not fixed by Feb 16th, when Survivor starts, I would call THAT an emergency!!!
