Oh, say, can you see, by the star's early light, what so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last leaving? :lmao:

This is coming from my 2 little ones playing American Idol right now, LOL :rotfl2:

One is playing Paula and she says, "I still loved you even though you were horrible!!"

They had to stay home today because of a doctor appointment ~ at least they are keeping themselves amused, LOL!

That is too cute! My DD6 plays Idol too. She just loves to sing with her star station and she even changes her clothes to make sure she has style.

Your post reminds me of a Ramona book by Beverly Cleary. In it, Ramona starts school (kindergarten, I think). At home, her older sister is trying to read without turning the lights up and her mom says something about it and Ramona wants to show off her school knowledge and tells her to "turn on the Dawnzer". Her sister and mom ask what a Dawnzer is. And Ramona says "You know, it gives off Lee light". THey are quite confused and Ramona informs them that they sing about it in school every morning. Her sister cries out laughing and says "You mean the Star Spangled Banner. It goes "Oh say can you see by the DAWN'S EARLY LIGHT!"

Kimya :teeth:

LOL, I had forgotten all about the Ramona books, that's so cute! I used to love to read those way back when :teeth: I need to get that series for my girls!

BTW, my little one is going crazy over your kitty pics ~ she loves them!!

I love this book! I thought of this too... Great minds think alike... :thumbsup2

So cute! My DGD plays Idol also, and we (Nana and Pa) are her judges. She dances and we have to "send her to Hollywood!"

Poor Paula. She's such an easy sell. She'd probably love my singing, and I sing in the key of R flat. :p

I heard my four upstairs yelling, "Welcome to Hollywood, Dawg!" :rotfl2: Then my six yr old told me he wanted to go to Hollywood so we could ride around in a limo all day. I did not realize he even knew what a limo was!

Even the kids have concluded that Paula is useless when it comes to actually criticizing the contestants! :goodvibes

LOL!! Too cute! :teeth:

And I totally agree about Paula...I keep telling my kids that if they don't get rid of her soon, I'm going to have to stop watching :headache:
