Well, we all have one of those days and today was one of mine.

This afternoon, I came home to find my 16 year old cat, Jessica dying.
She died in the car on the way to the vets. I have actually had her longer than I have been married. Not a good day.

Then I find out that one of my friends who had been taken into hospital with a heart attack has passed on this afternoon.

Not a happy bunny whatsoever today :sad2: :sad2: :sad1: :sad1:

:grouphug: What an awful day you have had. I am so sorry.

Oh I'm so sorry. That has been a terrible day. Sending love!

Obi,

Everyone has days were they lose loved ones so you are not alone and we understand how you must feel right now. I am sure alot of people on here will spare a thought for not only your family but for the family of your firend. I am one of them.

Im so sorry what an awful day :grouphug:

I'm sorry to hear your sad news. Sending you a big :grouphug:

Obi, what a truly awful day. I actually had tears in my eyes reading about your cat. Ours is 14 and I suspect he won't be with us much longer - DH will be devastated as, like you, Oliie's been with him longer than I have.

My thoughts are with you :grouphug:

So sorry to hear your news, Obi. Thinking of you and sending a big :grouphug:

Thank you all.

She had yelled at me when I came in, normal for her (She was totally my little girl, would actually take food from my mouth and would curl up beside me as well as follow me around the house)

I then came back into the inner hallway to find her on her side, she was panting and she had pohhed and weed. I knew this was it. I called the vet and they said bring her down in 30 mins. so I got a nice fluffy blanket out for her to lie on. She was now legs fully stretched and was moving her paws as if walking, still with her mouth open. She started to convulse and made a strange meowing sound.
So I got her into the car and laid her in the blanket on the floor. Drove into the village about three mins.
Parked outside the vets. picked her and the blanket up, but she had gone limp whilst her eyes were wide open. I knew what this meant.
carefully carried her into the vets and daisy the vet told me what I already knew to be the case.

She should be back with me in about a week and she has a nice shady patch in the garden to scatter her ashes in.

My five year old is sad, wants to get another cat and call her jessica and Boo Boo, our younger boy cat is looking for Jessy.

We will see, its too early for me.

Thanks everyone for the kind thoughts

What a hard day for you. Sending you sympathy and hugs :grouphug:

Things always seem to come in clusters which makes it all the harder to deal with. Thinking of you and the family of your friend.

Sorry to hear your bad news mate. Best wishes.
