Although I could normally understand redoing successful ad campaigns and drawing on nostalgia, in this case I'm not sure why - the general concensus seems to be that DCA 1.0 was not that great, and DCA 2.0 is much improved - so I'm surprised they would want to draw on the relatively unsuccessful past in this case. Wouldn't they want to depart from that a bit more?
On a side note though, I saw a new (to me) ad for Carsland on TV today, with the characters from Cars riding Luigi's Flying Tires, and Luigi says "Guido - our tires! They're floating!" and Fillmore says, "Whoooaaa!". It was really cute!
