Oh, please help me with a character breakfast!

The kids want CM then do CM. Kids dont care about food all they care about is the characters. When we go I honestly did not feel rushed there. You have to remember ur paying for the meal so dont feel bad to ask or tell the characters to interact a little with ur kids. And....the food is not that bad, it's not gourmet but its not horrible either.

Chef Mickey's is a must do for us. Both our sons LOVE it for the Fab 5 characters. They also love the waving of the napkins. Not the best food, I admit..but we always do breakfast there.

Crystal Palace is also a must do. Our youngest LOVES Tigger and Eeyore. This trip we are doing dinner. My DH is not a breakfast food eater, so he'd much rather do lunch or dinner character meals.

Our last trip we tried Ohana's for breakfast and for me, it was my favorite as far as food goes. Yumalicious!! Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch were all great.

If you or your kids are truly set on having the Big Cheese for sure, I'd go for O'Hanas. Not great food, but passable and the decor and characters in costume of the islands are wonderful. Kids would love that. I agree w/ the other dissenters of Chef Ms right now. It's not even passable anymore. :( Our last visit the word "dump" even came to mind! It used to be our ritual to go there first upon arrival and have our last mean there. As a PP said, it'll be a long, long LONG time before we go back. As far as really decent buffet food for a character meal, we gave the 3rd and final try (hadn't been happy twice before in eth rpevious 10 years) to Crystal Palace which ahs Pooh and friends this last nov. and were hands DOWN happy as clams! Not to mention, our littel 3YO austictic , non-vrbal son actually recognized teh characters and wasn't afraid! It was an astounding, teary-eyed moment for us!
I keep fantasizing about the chocolate Mickey waffles at CP. O.M.G.!!! Can you get those anywhere else on property???? I'm not a choc-o-holic either, but those were light, soft and DEVINE! WOuld you just add cocoa powder to your regular waffle mix? I'm Hun-GRAY! :worship:

Our favorite character meal is Tusker House, but for character interaction I would have to say Cape May. The food was better at Ohana, but the interaction was rushed. Cape May was so relaxed. Minnie, Donald and Goofy actually SAT at our table with us. Donald colored with my daughter and Minnie made a huge deal about the shirt my daughter was wearing with her picture on it. It was the best interaction of all the meals we did, hands down.

The breakfast bread and pua pua pork sausage at Ohana are DELICIOUS though, and watching Stitch and Pluto fight is a lot of fun.

We did CM one time for breakfast and we liked it. We got to see all the characters some of them twice. The food was standard breakfast food but it was very good.

I would not mind going back sometime but my lil girl is a pooh and tigger fan so we do Crystal Palace which is ok cuz its our favorite.

We did Chef Mickey's for breakfast in 2009 and loved it - food was excellent and the character interaction was good. Even my mother who is rather picky loved it. Unless the quality has changed dramatically since then, I would totally go there again. :)
