I'm so stressed out here I just did a stupid, stupid thing..

I have these sleeping pills - and you're supposed to take one and I just swallowed two.. I thought I was taking Aleve for my headache..

That's not a big deal - right?

22 would have been a problem, but 2 SHOULD be okay. I say SHOULD because I'm not 100% sure, but I can't imagine that you are in any danger. Try not to think about it too much; you have enough on your mind.

C.Ann, before you conk out you could try looking up your sleeping pill online and see what a dangerous dose might be.

Also, our hospital emergency room often takes calls about accidental overdosages...........try calling them if you're worried about the amount you've taken.

If you want real reassurance, call poison control. They can give you the info you need. But I don't think it'd be a problem either.

Thanks, everyone..

I wasn't concerned about getting sick or anything - just concerned that I wouldn't hear the alarm on my DH's oxygen machine if it should malfunction or lose power during the night..

I called our 24-hr. pharmacy and they said I might stumble around a bit if I'm awakened during the night - and I'll have a very, very dry mouth in the morning - but it's not going to totally knock me out to the point where I can't wake up if need be..

I'm going to go lie down now..
