DW and I have just got back from Sainsbury's and we were lured in to buying our first item to put back for Christmas

There was a large tin of Quality Street lurking in the Festive Aisle and it pounced on us when we weren't looking ;).

We just have to avoid opening it until December now :(

:rotfl: Don't you just hate it when that happens?? ;) :teeth:

I read your post before and thought i'd never be buying anything for xmas yet...
but when i went shopping before,i've succumbed and bought 3 small pressies as they were a bargain!!!
IT WAS 4 LARGE STELLA CANS WITH GLASS IN PRESENTATION BOX FOR ONLY £2.99 EACH!! what a bargain(I THOUGHT)
thanks alan for starting me on the spendy bendy road to christmas!!!
Jeanette:teeth:

Same thing happened us yesterday when we went into Safeway/Morrisons and we got waylaid by a stack of bargain-priced alcohol! Didn't even see it coming!!

:jester: :jester: :jester:

Who would have thought Christmas was so sneaky!!! ;)

We've just got back from Coventry where hubby was buying something, and I ended up buying DD (madmouse91) an Orlando Magic top and youngest DD a kiddie sewing machine.

Oh well at least thats something to cross off the list.

I love shopping - but I LURVE CHRISTMAS SHOPPING !!

On Friday we're going on an 18 night holiday to Singapore and Thailand. Knowing how cheap things are, I'm planning on doing nearly ALL my Christmas shopping over there, so everyone can expect things in Thai silk!!! Just hope the airlines will be understanding about the luggage weigh!!!

There is only one thing worse than being pounced on by a tin of chocolates and that’s being pounced on by two tins:teeth:

I always start buying bits and pieces for Christmas around this time of year but I haven’t bought anything yet guess I’m still waiting to be pounced on ;)

We just have to avoid opening it until December

Are you sure? such restraint would be impressive:earseek:

i love to shop but i loathe the attitude of people at xmas and the sheer volume of people, barging, pushing, and generally not being polite like they normally would.

last year just after england won the rugby world cup we went up to the mall to have a wander around and already the rude shoppers were out in force(was late novemberish) so i resolved not to deal with it. one lunchtime a week later i ordered every xmas present i needed from the net. best xmas shopping i ever did. no crowds. no heat. no cold weather or rain. no being disappointed because something was out of stock. and i didnt have to leave my house.

perfect :)

Poor you:(

Am I the only person (please say no!) who had bought Xmas goodies, then eaten them ages before Xmas?

Sorry, but I am very restrained when I want to be.....and DW gets told off if she isn't

I must admit I was in Marks and Sparks yesterday and was VERY tempted to buy Xmas biccys. I usually leave al lthe Xmas goody food shopping to DH as he goes completely overboard and I love it :)

That said I have bought all my paper, tags and gift bags - as well as Xmas cards. I fly back in from WDW on the 25th and then I'm off again a month later 25th November for 3 weeks so I need to be fully prepared before I go !!

I saw those biscuits in Marks yesterday too, they were on offer for £2.99, I would've bought them but I know I'd eat them within the week.
