Oh no! Rain in the forecast for our trip in early October

I've been obsessively checking the weather forecast for Anaheim...and rain is forecast for October 4 (and possibly beyond!)

Anyone have suggestions for what to do when it rains at Disneyland?

Meh, I don't really like weather.com. I usually check accuweather.com and for the 4th it just says partly cloudy...

But keep checking! As it gets closer it will probably change...

hmmm...i'll have to check accuweather in the next few days for our 10/8 to 10/11 trip. so far 10/9 is sunny! i hope it's right and hope the rest of the days we are there are nice and warm, too. coming from washington, i'll take weather in the mid-70s, too!

oh lord have mercy...anything that would post that far out is just wrong...besides I will do a backwards flip if it rains period right now...and if you knew me you would know that would be impossible but seriously dont even worry about it...firstly I hate weather.com....you have to add like 5º to whatever the temps say for you to get a more accurate feel...2nd...if by some crazy coincidence it did rain...it would probably be very late at night and not at all during the day and 3rd it would be just for the night thats it and watch and see if that doesnt change when you get closer to your dates on there..you will be like what? where? I dont see any rain forecast...dont worry...go back to your planning and have fun

Thank you Lynn! I don't like weather.com either. It is always wrong. You would think because it's the WEATHER CHANNEL it would be correct. Duh.

i know right? I HATE it at least with accuweather it tells you how its going to feel which is pretty much spot on...

I love being in DL when it rains because everyone scatters and freaks out and I walk right on to all the rides. I get a little wet, but I don't mind one bit! One October it rained the whole time we were there and it was one of our best trips. It wasn't pouring, just lightly raining!

Me too!! I love DL when it rains... It's amazing how many people will leave and head back to their hotels. We don't mind getting wet one bit because it just adds to the adventure! If we get soaked, we just go do a quick change and head out again... Our best trips have included a little bit of rain

AND if it does happen to rain, seriously don't freak out. It RARELY rains all.day.long. You would be fine having a backup plan for a couple hours (and this is if it's POURING) light rain isn't bad. Bring an umbrella and/or poncho and water shoes and you're set!

Me too! I love the rain at DL because people leave and then the lines are super short! Also I am from portland oregon so a little rain doesn't scare me any!

I love the rain too! It shortens the lines for indoor rides. Though, outdoor rides often close down because the tracks get wet. Oh, no! We couldn't ride the People Mover! Heh, that was a trip back in the 80's when it poured and the park suddenly turned empty! It's great!

I will be very annoyed if it rains. I am there from October 2 - 5, and last year, we got POURED on and it was NOT fun at all. I was checking Accuweather last week, and at first it said it would be in the mid-'80s for my dates at DLR. I hate heat, but I don't want it to pour on me again. I would rather have nice chilly weather. I checked Accuweather again two days ago and there was NO rain in the forecast for any of my days, but the forecasted temps had dropped to under 80 degrees, which I was happy with. A light rain is one thing, but if it pours again, I will be SO unhappy.

Yes, see, that is what I mean. Unless you have an AP and can go back to DLR any time you want, when you plan to only be there for 2 - 3 days like I have planned, if it pours during that time, it really messes things up and throws us all off. We don't only do rides. We like to sit outside and people watch. We do a lot of walking around and observing details, which is hard to do when your glasses are streaked with rain! We take a lot of pictures and the PhotoPass people do not stand out there in a downpour! They run for cover like everybody else. And my camera can't take on any water! Pirates Lair will be closed if it rains heavily - and that was one of the things I specifically wanted to see this time. So it is not always the dandy trip that we would have if it is dry outside. I HOPE it does not rain. I may not get back to DLR again during the year - or for a while after that!

The past 2 times we’ve been to DLR it’s been like 290712590 degrees! Ugh! I am SO looking forward to COLD when we go.. Ahh, I hope it gets cooler!!!!
