Oh no! Rain in the forecast for our trip in early October

Yeah! Exactly! I really like accuweather. At least they do their job right! Geesh!

The past 2 times we’ve been to DLR it’s been like 290712590 degrees! Ugh! I am SO looking forward to COLD when we go.. Ahh, I hope it gets cooler!!!!

Now COLD I do not mind at all! I LOVE cold! Downpurs are a different story and I am miserable in the heat but have to put on a happy face because it is DLR and I am happy to be there. Secretly, I am always hoping that it will suddenly drop to 40 degrees so I can snuggle up in a coat. Whatever temp it actually is in DLR, it always seems like it is hotter because you are smooshed in with all those people!

*Wiggles her webbed feet* I'm EXCITED about this. A lot of DL is covered, and a little, or even a LOT of rain, doesn't scare me. I'm actually hoping for at least one day of rain on our trip in 10 days.

tell me about it it poored on my bday it sucked lol i wouldnt mind slight rain but pirate island better be open when im there at least one day

yeah but Jade isnt your bday in Dec. ??? that is typical rain season for CA...Dec.-March...we're talking about October here...and although that was seriously a fluke Sherry that you encountered the rain I dont anticipate a repeat performance...and your post about accuweather check is precisely my point...you cant go out and look for those days now...start 10 days before and check faithfully every day up to the day you leave...make sure you pack cooler stuff for daytime and a light jacket and or sweatshirt for evenings...Im wearing a jacket for sure...I will be freezing...Jade it wont surprise me if you guys freeze at night too coming from AZ this will seem like winter to you lol

oh and in case anyone doesnt know..type in 92802 for the zip when figuring the weather(thats the zip by DL)

I will be at DLR in just 7 days. I started checking Accuweather last week, looking at the 15-day forecast. But as of today, Accuweather still didn't indicate any rain so far at all for any of my days. It is only the Yahoo/Weather.com that said 60% chance of rain on October 4th, and apparently they are not too reliable! I am not too worried about it NOW. If I get to Monday or Tuesday and Accuweather starts to say it is going to rain on one of my days, then I have to drag out the stupid umbrella, coat and and rain gear again that I hate because it bulks up my suitcase!

By the way, Lynn, I LOVE that FrankenMickey in your signature! SOOOOO cute! You just put that in there today, didn't you?

Thank you Lynn! I don't like weather.com either. It is always wrong. You would think because it's the WEATHER CHANNEL it would be correct. Duh.

Meh, I don't really like weather.com. I usually check accuweather.com and for the 4th it just says partly cloudy...

But keep checking! As it gets closer it will probably change...

Fingers crossed!

haha Courtney ! I definitely bookmarked that website :goodvibes weather.com can be wrong sometimes :confused3 Thanks girl:thumbsup2

For anyone worrying about this, get yourself a list of your Must Dos, and DO THOSE immediately, just in case it starts to rain later. Just like seeing the fireworks asap just in case it's cancelled later, if something is THAT important to you, do it as fast as you can.

Lol. :rotfl: ME TOO. When I was younger I loved HOT HOT HOT and now that I'm growing up, I love the cold and rain.. I'm kind of hoping it rains... Hey, I can wish, can't I?! :wizard:

Lol!!! Kaycee!! It sucks cause when you type in "weather" in google (my BFF) that's the first website, hello? It sucks!! BOO..!! :snooty:

Don't worry about the rain, a little wetness never hurt anyone!:goodvibes

Seriously, if it does rain during your trip it's kind of good for you. The locals won't come out and some tourists might do something else that day.

Take advantage of it. Besides, rain in So. Cal is not very usual (not saying we're death valley or anything) but it doesn't drown you.

I AM a lifelong SoCal native/local and I was in DLR in pouring rain last year and it messed up a lot of our plans! It is not a matter of it "hurting" us/me, it is a matter of us not being able to get to DLR very often and only having maybe two full days to do things, and POURING rain like last year would interfere with many things we are going to do because we may not have another chance to get back and do them over! And it does rain in SoCal (quite heavily) during rainy season. It just does not rain year-round. But when it rains heavily here in SoCal - and I have had the leaky, damaged roofs and water-stained ceilings to prove it, as well as a flooded subterranean parking garage - it can cause a lot of problems for people.

It doesn't look like we'll get anything out of this system. I wouldn't worry, but we could really use the rain!

Don't worry Disney is so fun in the rain.. get your ponchos early and layer your clothing and your good.

We are headed to DL on October 13 and I plan to be checking the weather daily leading up to our trip. Difference is, I'm really hoping and wishing for some rain!
I'm not saying a major storm or torrential downpour, but some rain would be perfect. :wizard:

you know she has a very valid point...we californians rarely have rain that when it does we dont know how to function in it and try to stay indoors:lmao:
