Oh no, no heat!!!

That sounds like Murphy's law. No offense Dan! Any and everything goes wrong at the worst possible moment.

I hope you got it going by now. My furnace has broken down a couple times in past winters. It's the pits.

Was it cleaned recently? Sometimes the light (I forget what it is called) needs an adjustment. Have you called your serviceman?

Iknow have electric heat. More expensive to heat with, but at least no furnace to worry about.

Wow you got service TODAY?! That's amazing! I was going to invite you over for some baked rigatoni and sausage if you didn't have any luck with it!!:teeth:

 BWVDenise,

If we could get out we would take you up on your offer.

The heater man just left and it is up to 71 degrees in our house, boy, it sure feels good!!!

We bought a priority contract with our heater service company and it states that someone has to come out if we have an emergency, and no heat in this kind of weather, is an emergency.

Now back to the DISboards after I eat my re-heated dinner.

Thanks All!!! ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

Andy,

Glad to hear you were able to get it fixed. A major snow storm is no time for that kind of thing to happen. Glad things are warming up by you now.

Wow, contract or not, that is GREAT sevice, Andy!!! Three cheers for heater man!!!! Good news, you have heat again. :sunny:

So glad to hear that good news and that is great service you have there!!!! Enjoy the heat :)

That's awesome that they had someone to come out there today! Stay Warm!

I haven't had a chance to check my DISboard messages just yet, but my DD took this photo of me shoveling the snow from the front of our house so our heater man could park his truck.

It feels nice and toasty in here now, YEA!!!:)

The nozzle on our burner was clogged. This is the first year we didn't have our furnance serviced before the heating season, boy, did we learn our lesson. We were more concerned about getting to VB in November, that we didn't bother with getting the furnance serviced. I'm such a bad boy!!!

This is the mound of snow I shoveled so our heater man could park his truck in front of our house. This was only about 8 inches of snow I shoveled. We are now expecting between 20-25 inches of the white stuff. :(

Are we having fun yet???

Dan,

You better believe it!!!

Wow, now that's what I call service! Especially on a day like today!

Glad things are starting to warm up for you:)

Glad to hear your warming up again. That was the "thingy", the nozzel, I was trying to think of.

I am glad that you were able to get it repaired today:D

Jeez Louise,

You need a snow blower!

Good luck with the shoveling and glad it's warm for you now.

herc.

I was thinking of buying a snow blower back in December, now I wish I had. We only had a total of 4 inches of snow all last winter, making up for it now!!! LOL!!!

Verandah man, my husband thought that I was out of my mind when I said I wanted a snow blower, then again I live in the Poconos but still, since I had shoveled for 5 years, he thought I could continue to do it forever, well I bought the snowblower and 8 days after I bought it we got 18" of snow, boy I am happy I bought it....trust me!
