Oh no! I'm freaking out right now. We are leaving for Disney on Saturday and using DME. When I booked the trip, I was pregnant with my son. I tried to add him to the reservation, but the CM said that she couldn't do it since he really wasn't "here" yet. With everything going on with having a new baby, I never thought about calling and adding him to the reservation. I read in another thread that they will not let him ride if he's not on the ressie. What do I do now?

What do I do about the DME boarding pass? Can I have the CMs at the DME counter print it out for him? I hope that Disney doesn't add a change fee to add him. :(

Relax, it isn't a problem you can call even a day in advance and add him, there is no fee and you just stop at the counter and get his boarding pass.

Answered on the other thread ;) but as an under-three who won't need a seat and can't reasonably be expected to board a bus alone, and just as he doesn't need park tickets or a dining plan or count toward your room occupancy, he'll be able to board anyway.

not to worry:goodvibes

I hope you let the airline your using know about your new baby and have the right paperwork for your new son.

Very Good Point!!!

While your infant will fly free if you are holding them THEY must be on the ticket to get a boarding pass.
You also will need a birth certificate to show they are under 2.

Good catch paults!

You do not have to go the route of paying more to add a child to your package just to get your infant on DME. The backup plan is to do nothng and just show up at the welcoming area.

Psst! For an infant born at WDW and to have his own seat on the plane home, or for a kid turned 3 at WDW who was lap carried down, I do advocate purchasing as a completely separate transaction a round trip originating in Orlando and quietly discarding the return ticket back to Orlando, if that costs less than a one-way.

Though this used to be true many years ago and is still true for international travel, the idea that a round trip ticket is less than a one-way ticket is almost always wrong.

Most airlines now book domestic (or transborder) round trip tickets as two one-way tickets. This would explain why we have so many posts where people ask about flying on two separate airlines.

There is absolutely no reason for following your "PSST". Unless they feel like paying twice what they have to pay.

Since that bit was quoted and is therefore visible, lest it confuse anyone...kids under TWO can be on the lap. Not kids under 3.

you two are way too quick... I caught both of those but you had posted already! :worship:
