I am totally bummed - was looking forward to dinner at Napa Rose at the counter - I am solo disappointed .... Not sure what to do now...that was our DDD celebration dinner plan.... we will not have a park pass for this day, so need suggestions - what would you do?

Steakhouse 55 is the next-best restaurant on property. Catal in Downtown Disney can also be excellent, but the menu is more eclectic and the service can be unpredictable. For a celebration dinner where you want to guarantee excellence, I'd go with Steakhouse 55.

We found out it was going to be closed in early Aug too when we went to make reservations at the 60 day mark. DH and I were so looking forward to the chef's counter experience but I guess it will have to wait for next time! We decided to go with Steakhouse 55 for that meal now instead!! I don't know that we would have tried it if Napa Rose wasn't going to be closed

I'd also recommend Steakhouse 55. (We've had some bad service and "eh" food at times at Napa Rose, actually, but we've always had awesome meals and great service at Steakhouse.)

I'm so bummed, too! It was going to be our anniversary dinner while we left our kidlets in the hotel room with Grandma. I haven't been overly impressed with Carthay Circle. Any other suggestions besides Steakhouse 55?

Drat. DF and I talked about doing the chef's counter again for her birthday in September.

Anyone know how long it will be closed?? I was thinking about finally trying it when we are there in November.

Will you have a car? Anaheim has a Benihana, you could all wear your medals around the grill. Also, Ruth Chris, Morton's and a place called The Ranch that's supposed to be good. GardenWalk could be walkable, if your feet don't hurt after all that. Although for the money you'd have paid for Napa Rose, would it be possible to add a park day and eat in the parks?
