Argh!!!!!!!!!!! We just decided today and booked. Grandma offered to look after the munchkins for a week so we could have a holiday and celebrate our 15th anniversary and dh's 40th birthday. A little bit extreme I know. Please tell me we won't regret this. The poor kids. We're not going to tell them. We're having a bit of buyers remorse and guilt happening. Please talk me around and get me excited.

Hurray!!!! How exciting! And how generous of grandma to offer. How long are you going for? I would be over the moon if I had the same opportunity! As much I love the little tikes, us parents need some special alone time occasionally. Enjoy it and don't feel guilty!

You'll have a fabulous time, and even moreso knowing your kids are in good hands back home. I've been to the parks with and without kids and as wonderful as kids are, it's so different when you do it as "just adults". You get around much faster.

I love the kids in my life and having just returned from a holiday half way round the world with 4 of them, and all the planning and packing and then unpacking and wind-down afterwards, I'm in need of another holiday myself! You'll relax and enjoy yourselves - and DON'T feel guilty! The kids have a lfetime ahead of them to see Disney with and without you. And they will.

The absolute best thing you can give your children is the security of a great marriage between their parents. Taking a little time for each other is something all couples should do. They'll have a ball at Grandma's and you'll come back renewed with more to give than ever! No worries. Have a great time!

BTW, Dh and I will be there at the same time..just the two of us!

Thanks everyone. I'm sure we'll bring them back way too much, and just before christmas too. We'll have to try not to give everything to them all at once. I think we'll have an awesome time, of course we will, how can you not at Disneyland:lol:. But we're just going to have that unsettled feeling the whole time we're away from them. kwim? We'll be praying extra hard on the plane that it doesn't crash.

We booked our ps's this morning. The lady was soooooo nice and helpful.

Disneychic, where are you staying. We're staying at the Carousel Inn. The budget won't stretch enough for The Grand Calfornian which is where I really really want to stay.
