Am I in trouble here?

Should I call the dining hotline or something or I Will be Still ok on site?

Help :scratchin

Are you talking about linking to your reservation number? If so, it doesn't matter, you will be asked and/or tell your server you are using the DP before you order.

If it is something you have to pre-pay (like one of the dining shows), then yes, you will want to get it linked otherwise your credit card will be charged the full amount when you book it. I made that mistake when I booked the BBQ and when I called the dining line, it was an easy fix for them to refund me and then add my DP to the ADR. She also told me that I could either do it on the phone right away or, they could do it at the location as well.

Dining plan number

No, I have booked only regular TS and the CP and OHana

Confused me because we've done the dining plans about a dozen times over the last 3 years and I have posted and read many other posts on the dining forum here...have never heard anyone mention having a "dining plan number", lol.

You have a reservation number, but that's for the whole package (room, tickets & dining plan.)

You're fine. There's no need to link your (package) reservation number. At the restaurant the server will ask if you're on the dining plan. They usually ask to see the card and will then explain what is included.

Every. Single. Time. It will get old after awhile, and you will become an expert after the 3rd or 4th meal of your trip ;).

But, echoing the others. No need to link your resort reservation to include DDP unless it's the prepaid events. In fact, I'm not even sure that you can anymore, so chances are, you did it 100% correct without even knowing :).

Thanks

On my Reservation it's writen Reference number to use for Dining reservations.
I guess it's a AAA thing :dance3:

Thanks again!

It's likely the Disney reservation number that AAA has. Used for the above prepaid thingies and to enable the 180+10 perk of making dining reservations. (Guests staying on-site can make up to 10 days worth of dining reservations at 180 days before date of check-in. Offsite guests may make reservations up to 180 days before date of dining at the individual restaurants).

Sounds more and more that I'm glad that I book myself instead of an external source :p (of course, it's likely a bit more work, especially staying on top of discounts and stuff).

Oh I loved booking my ADR myself!
A bit of an adrenaline rush sometimes, but was worth it.

An FYI, even if I booked thru a TA, I still own my reservation (confirmed by him yesterday)

Makes absolutely no difference unless you are booking CRT or a dinner show and want to avoid prepayment.

If you booked one of those and prepaid for it, you may want to call WDW-DINE and try to get it straightened out.

Even when you use a TA you can book things such as dining reservations, hard party tickets, BBB & Pirates League yourself - in other words anything that a person without a resort reservation can also book. Otherwise locals and off site hotel guests could never book these.

What I was referring to on the other thread was the fact that you cannot call Disney to make changes to your resort or package components such as changing resorts, modifying the dates of your package, changes to your dining plan, etc. Any changes to components your TA booked for you have to be done through him.

I made my ADRs when I reserved my resort. When FD came out later, I changed my reservation to a package but didn't link the DP to my existing ADRs. So my ADRs have no DP#. Your server will ask you about DP when you are seated, and that's all that's necessary.
