So I'm trying to get HH. I know impossible but this morning Ms says OK I have both nights and when he went to book it told me I was only allowed to book the one night because of the holiday yesterday. I asked are you sure, Yes he said he doesn't understand why maybe because it is leap year. Well I called back and guess what I could have made my reservation for both nights but not anymore. I'm waitlisted now for the second day. AGGGGHHHHH. So close but yet so far.

Wow that would make me really mad too! Can you speak to a supervisor or something and explain that you lost the res because of an incorrectly informed cm? Good luck-

If you just missed getting the room by hours (or minutes), then you're almost certainly the first person on the waitlist. The odds of there being zero cancellations for that night over the next 7 months are extremely remote, IMO. I suspect you'll get the room before much longer.

Last time we had to waitlist for a single night at 7 months out, the night came thru within 2 weeks.

I'd probably be just as frustrated, but looking at the situation logically I have every expectation that you will get the room.

I have been in the same position before, for a New Year's Eve reservation I was booking at the BWV day by day. When I found out that I had been misinformed about what day I could book, I fired off an email to MS with the name of the person I spoke to. I received an impersonal email response back about how they strive to please members, blah,blah,blah. The waitlist never did come through, so now I confirm EVERYTHING with a supervisor if in doubt.

I called this morning and to add Nov. 29th and 30th with a check out date of Dec. 1st for our Thanksgiving ressie and was told the same thing! The cm said because of the leap year I could only book the night of the 29th. I called back and was told the first cm was correct. Are you sure they let some people book the night of Nov 30th? I will be very upset if they did as I was trying for AKV 2BR concierge and it was the last night of our stay. Was anyone else able to book the night of the 30th with a check out day of the 1st? If so, I will add my name to your complaint funhouse8!

What does Leap Year have to do with anything?

If you're checking out on Dec 1, then you should be able to book that night on January 1 (11 months before). And since today is a holiday, you wouldn't be able to call MS until tomorrow, Jan 2.

Exactly, it's when you check out, not the day after you check in.

For example, for Dec 31, you check out on Jan 1. So you can't book until Feb 1. For Nov 30, you check out on Dec 1, so you can't book until Jan 1. It doesn't matter that there is a Dec 31. You still have to wait until Jan 1.

The system tells us the latest check out date we can do, and will not allow anything later.

Yesterday it was check out of 11/30. We always have this question when the month we are in has 31 days and the month you are booking in has 30. Yoiu can't book checking out of 12/1 until 1/1 (a holiday). Leap year plays no factor.
