Oh I feel sick

I feel your pain. I spent over 300 r/t w/ JetBlue for our flights. I have NEVER paid that much. :sad2:

My husband travels very frequently for work, and he said he has paid as much as 800 r/t for last minute flights to Orlando. UGH!

What's interesting is that back when I was flying around the country 200 days per year, $800 one way was a bargain. What has happened that folks are surprised about $800 roundtrip for a last minute flight? :confused3

HolliePoppins...I'm sorry you feel that way..personally, I think you jumped the gun on buying your airfare now for that far out. Just my 2cents on airtravel.

hope you have a great trip,
Esmerelda :goodvibes

LOL you guys are spoiled:) I'm hoping to get flights for under $650US return Edmonton Canada to MCO. I have to buy 4 so that is a big cost:(

I agree. We normally would fly out of Halifax however Air Canada wants $4000+ for 5 return tickets to MCO and WestJet and Canjet want anywhere from $3300-$3800. We found 5 return tickets out of Boston (direct) flight for $1409 Canadian!! Delta charged us less for 1 return ticket than any of the Canadian carriers does for 1 way. Needless to say we grabbed it!

The savings will be worth the 10+ hour drive.. :cool1:

Well at least you do have the free dining, that is a big saver!

I am flying Boston to Orlando in Dec and only wanted non stop too. It is our kids first time flying and I just wanted to get there in the shortest amount of time and not having to take off and land a few times. I bought in Feb on Delta (and yes had a lot of anxiety when everything was going on with them) but I did get $177 a piece (had to buy 5 of them) and feel so glad that I did. I bet you won't see it go any lower than what you paid considering the fuel prices.

Good for you MOM. I think that is a decent airfare especially in light of where things seem to be going. We are traveling in November (19-27). Last year we paid 222.00R/T out of Providence. I didn't think that was too bad. I am nervous that this year is going to be out of site. We are open to Boston or Manchester if necessary so I have been keeping my eyes open for any type of deal. I really hate the waiting for the fall airfares. Anyway, have great trips all!
