Oh Hula, lol (Quest 12/9/07)

Haha that was a fun quest :santa: I liked doing the whole song thing...and not just going from room to room looking for things :upsidedow

Ditto. I knew all the answers (even before we could say all of them ;) ) and i didn't have to wait for my slow-@$$ computer to load each room. I like this kind of quest a lot hosts! :thumbsup2 (Do you think that will influence them?):flower3:

Fun quest, Hula.

Having arrived home from a community menorah-lighting / Channukah celebration about 30 minutes after the quest started, I missed all the "fixing" and thought the quest was fun, different, and in the spirit of the holidays.

You look cute in a dreidel chair Hula!

And I just have to say to all my fellow DIS'ers, I was mildly entertained by the confusion with Christmas song lyrics and yet since no 1 posted so much as 1 "help!," everyone knew the Dreidel Song! Either that or BriarRosie was getting a lot of PMs. :rotfl:

Fun quest Hula - and a nice prize. Thanks! Why do I have this sudden urge to build a VMK version of Laugh-In? (ok... if you don't know, please don't make me feel old by asking :rotfl: )

Bet your bippy my grandparents know what that is!

Puts up hand I message briar but now I know it off by heart "with dreidel I shall play" :) She was the one that gave me the heads up that rudolph's nose does not glow rofl

I really enjoyed singing through the songs.

And I am a under the tree person. So just like TP the great debate will continue. Some like it over some like it under. Some like presents on the tree some would rather have in under. Bigger present fit better under the tree. But diamonds look great on the tree :)

I do both. We put our yearly wrapped ornaments and cards on the tree. Rest under do not want the thing to fall over.

Its all good:goodvibes We love Hula - on, under, or by the tree! lol But my question is, why does it matter so much? The quest is done - it worked and it was fun:)

Personally, I don't think it matters as long as we can all get it figured out.

Even Sandi Patty is confused as to use either on or under. On her 1995 album "O Holy Night" she used "on". On her 2005 album "Yuletide Joy", she changed it to "under". ;)

As for it being "plan" instead of "count", again, I've heard it both ways.

Trust me. With over 170 Christmas albums (and counting) alone, I have heard so many versions of this it's crazy.

People always change lyrics to songs to suit them. It's not a big deal unless it's something really important like the Pledge of Allegiance. ;)

Yes Like Dean Martin singing Rudy the red beaked Reindeer i crinch every time I hear that.

Thanks Hula!:grouphug:

That quest was loads of fun. My friends and I had a blast doing it together, mistakes and all. In fact, the mistakes made it even more fun. :goodvibes Those are my favorite types of quests--quests where you sit with friends and come up with answers together. There is not enough of those lately. Nice job Hula!:thumbsup2

Hehe. Belle was the only one who messaged me about the Dreidel song.
And I did give her the heads up about the red nose glitch, and that someone
already reported it. It was a hoot watching a room full of people try every variation of 'glow(s)' or anything that rhymed with 'nose'.

That's pretty funny. I think I'm the opposite of most people, as the Dreidel Song was one of the few on that quest that I actually knew the lyrics to (though they wanted us to say the word "shall" and I learned it with the word "will"). The only other ones I knew the lyrics to were Let It Snow and Rudolph (I didn't do the quest until after the mistake was fixed). I had to wait until other people said the others and then copy them :rotfl:

heh, me too mint. I want to apologize to all those of Jewish faith because... Sigh... I know the song because of south park ROFL. every time I even see the dreidel chair I hear Kyle singing it :rotfl:
