I submitted an officemax rebate online the same day I made the purchase , the UPC bar went out a week later. I track my rebate today and one part says the mailing part has not been received, the other one says it's invalid because the postmark date is late.
The submission was received on 9/12 but they posted it on 11/08. You mean to tell me that it took them 2 months almost from the time they got it until they posted it? So they validated the rebate and then they tell me it's going to take another 6-8 weeks to get it.
I hate rebates, you have to really watch them and sometimes it's just not worth the aggravation. I can see 6-8 weeks from the time you submit it , but I cannot see 2 months to post and another 2 months to get it.
I wish they would offer the discounts right from the beginning, none of this mail in crap.

They do that on purpose! Don't stop bugging them for it! There is a site www.wheresmyrebate.com that will track your rebates no matter where you got them. I think it's just a hugh scam to offer a rebate with so many restrictions. They know that the majority of people that buy a product based on the rebate will not send it in. Don't let up on them! And good luck!

Thanks for the link Erica, that comes handy especially around this time, I know there will be more rebates to send out.
Heck no I don't let them off the hook, if necessary I will set up a file cabinet for it , lol.

My husband has been collecting camel cash coupons for way too long (bad habit!)...and we finally decided to redeem some of them for a standing ashtray (related to same bad habit..lol!)...this was on Aug 23..sent the coupons and a check for postage..they cashed my check a week later so I think great..it'll be on it's way soon?....here it is now Nov 10 and still nothing..they say 'allow 10-12 weeks for delivery'..and you can't even call and check the status till it's been the full 12 weeks...this is ridiculous
On the up side...places that are usually right on top of their rebates (for me anyhow) have been Staples, Lowe's, and Ace Hardware..with Ace being the quickest and most reliable!
Bought some insulation on 9/24 and are still waiting for that $75 rebate!
