So as you are all PAINFULLY aware, I have been buying some cheap watches recently. This little story vindicates me. Some of my watches were displayed in a national airport under an assumed name for £800 each (they cost me under £30). People were lining up to buy them! Saying they were the finest quality watches they'd ever bought! Bet they feel silly now!

They wouldn’t feel silly unless they find out about the cheap price later. To them, it’s a watch they wanted at a price they were willing to pay.

Personally, I wouldn’t pay £800 or $800 for a watch, especially for everyday wear. My limit is around $300 for a special occasion watch and around $75 for a daily wear watch.

Oh, I definitely go cheaper when I can, but that would be my absolute limit. I never buy anything without doing some price comparisons first.
