Oh gosh, just realized...how do I get there?!

Going down to WDW mid December...We'll have a car, but my sister wants it the day that my DD and I are going to visit WWoHP.

Hate to sound dumb, but in 10 trips, we have never left Disney property, so it didn't occur to me....how are we going to get to Universal? Is there a place my sister can drop us off? Or is the parking lot like Disney where you can't really be "dropped off"?

I read on another site that you can drop off at the bus/taxi area. They said to follow the signs to this area and you won't have a problem. Not sure how the valet parking works since it has been years since we used it but in the past you would have been able to drop off there.

Yes, there is a "guest drop off" area. Just follow the signs when you enter Universal Resort.

For both options, use google maps to plan your route.

Option 1: I4. Follow signs from Disney areas leading to I4 East. Take exit 75 (left exit; Kirkman) and stay left. There is an entrance to Universal there. Follow the signs to guest drop-off. This will put you in the central hub of the parking structure/start of Citywalk.

When returning to Disney, follow signs to I4 West (avoid International Drive if possible!). Take any of the Disney exits (68 or 67 are good options) and go to your destination.

Option 2: 535/Palm Parkway. Follow signs from Disney leading to to 535. You may end up on 536, which is a large road. If you do, turn LEFT on to 535. You can also get to 535 via Hotel Plaza Blvd (Downtown Disney area). Again, turn left. You will have to turn RIGHT on to Palm Parkway shortly after getting on 535. Stay on PP and it will eventually turn into Turkey Lake Road. Stay on Turkey Lake and an entrance to UO will be on the right. Follow signs to guest drop-off.

There is a sign at one of the lights that says "Guest drop Off." Once you turn in there, there is an attendant at a booth that will write down how many people are being dropped off and will show you were to do the drop off. Pick up is in the exact same area.
