Won't you go ahead and release the dates and pricing for January 2007...I'm about to go out of my mind waiting!!! :earseek:

Don't hold your breath just yet!! :faint:

I wouldn't count on the release of dates until late Agust at the VERY earliest...Usually sometime in September though.

BUT DCL has been known to surprise us though...so you never know! :flower:

If it's any consolation I feel the same way you do! So, if misery loves company at least we're in the same "boat"... <groan> :sad2:

Last year the 2006 rates were released in very late September (around the 29th) so I wouldn't expect anything for at least a couple of months.

And also if any of the rumors are true and the Magic goes to the West coast again it could be longer, I thing those dates only opened up in May 2004 for summer of 2005.

Markey, you are correct. The west coast sailing reservations opened up on the Saturday before Mother's Day. Dreams sent out an email ahead of time asking who was interested and which dates. When the reservations opened, they booked our May 28th trip out of LA. We got a great price and I didn't have to spend the whole day on the phone or computer.

I'm hoping the Magic will go to Hawaii for the summer. We will celebrating our 20th anniversary and will be going to Hawaii instead of cruising on the Magic in 2007. OH PLEASE DCL go to Hawaii in 2007.

Only the U.S. flagged NCL ships are exempt from the Passenger Services Act (I think thats the name of it) requirement for foreign flagged passenger vessels to stop at a foreign port in between U.S. Ports (i.e., the entire itinerary cannot be U.S. Ports for non-U.S. ships). And DCL are Bahamian flagged. So the old itineraries of wasting a large part of the cruise going out to Fanning Island and back is one alternative, or long, extended cruises, one way, between the U.S. Mainland and the Hawaiian islands, stopping off at one Mexican Port on the way our or in, is another unattractive, impractical alternative. And no Disney property in Hawaii to link with for land/sea seems to be a disincentive for DCL as well.

I want to see the '07 rates and dates, too, but I would not waste time hoping for Hawaii.

There was more to it than that. On May 5, 2004 Disney planned to make a GRAND announcement which encompassed Disneyland's 50th celebration. All of the parks would participate in the celebration and for the first time a Disney ship would sail from the west coast to coincide with celebration.

It is true that the announcement was made in May and the first sailing of the Magic from Los Angeles was the following May but this was an anomaly.

The Magic will probably have some new itineraries for 2007 and they could possibly include the west coast, but I would think that the entire 2007 schedule will be announced at the same time.

Thanks for the company...I don't care about the new inteniary, as I only want to do the 7-night Western...Just want some dates so I can get something booked ASAP!

I want to do a 7 night cruise in 2007 too!! My problem is more on us. I will not know my schedule at work until sometime later this year. Our school system does calendar's on a two year basis. They had done 2004-05 and 2005-06. So i have to wait. I really wanted to book while on our next cruise. But I might just have to wait.

I know I can book and transfer but that is a lot of work. LOL

Not at all. People do it all the time and it is nothing more than a phone call.

Just joinig the bandwagon!!! I faxed my request in today. I'm hoping for a Cat.3 in 2007 to celebrate ....just celebrate life!! Cause it is too darn short. But this waiting makes it seem so darn long!!! If ya know what I mean.

Come on Disney!

You're right on that. I remember the suspense for that was AWFUL! :guilty:

Let me join in here!! I've been totally depressed since my 5/05 cruise ended...I didn't want to leave the ship...can't wait to book a 7-day in 5/07 (I'm still kicking myself for not knowing I could book on board and just change the dates once 2007 rates came out). I feel as if I'm now addicted to DCL! At least if I could put a deposit on it, I would feel as if it was going to actually happen...but in the meantime, it seems like an eternity until I get to go again...

You are actually better doing exactly what you said. Call up DCL and book a cruise and put a deposit on it.

If you do it today then you will have 22 months to pay it off. If you wait until the rates come out who knows how many months you will have.

You are not penalized for transferring you reservation, you will get the good rate when they first come out and DCL will transfer any amount paid towards your original booking.

If you have money for the deposit there real isn't any reason to pick up the today (Boy...don't I sound like I work for DCL - I don't). :rotfl: :goodvibes

If you do it today then you will have 19 months to pay it off. If you wait until the rates come out who knows how many months you will have.

We all know the saddest day comes when you walk off the ship. :sad2:

We cant wait either! :confused3
We are hooked on DCL and we have taken a three and a 4 day cruise this year already, and we have a 7 day in December 2005. :cheer2: Then we have back to back 7 days at the end of 2006. :earboy2: Now I need to know 2007 schedule. My DH has promised me a 10 day cruise, so I want to make the reservation before he changes his mind!!! Ha! Ha! He gets just as excited as I do, :rotfl2: but he wont admit it.

Wait, hold on, stop the presses! You mean you can make requests now for cruises that aren't announced? Why didn't they tell me this onboard when I rebooked? I was told that the Magic probably wouldn't release it's 2007 schedule until January. So, I booked a 2006 cruise and am waiting to transfer it, but if I could put in the request now to transfer, it seems to me it would make the process more fool proof. How do you do this?

Category 1, 2, and 3 suites are in such high demand that people fax requests over to Inventory Control well in advance. I faxed over a request for the Walt Disney suite for July '08. I just spoke to I.C. today and they said they had requests as far out as 2021.

You are not booking a room, but making a request which is processed on a first come first serve basis. This type of request is usually only for the suites since there aren't that many and the demand is high.

But that's what I was trying to request. So, I have a Cat 3 reservation, but I was really interested in 2007. Is there a fax request form, and where do you get it from - as well as where do you send it.
