No. It's gone for good and I can't say I'm sad. It's just a big piece of deep fried dough! Not only that but it's not exactly a popular Canadian treat.
I can understand that some people might prefer the old film over the new one but I don't get this comment. How could it be American? It's filled with footage from across CANADA, including the rocks of Newfoundland, the Mounties, the Horseshoe Falls at Niagara Falls, and the unmistakable landmarks of our cities. My suggestion is to actually see the film before passing comment.
I loved the new film! It's such a big improvement. We got to see it the second day it was opened. The CM gave me a list of all the scenes when I asked. I posted it on here back in September when we got back but I can't find it right now.
How could it be American well the US claims the horseshoe falls as theirs they have the mountains you could easily say it is the Colorado area instead of Alberta or BC. The praries could easily be Idaho etc. This is how it could just as easily be used for the US pavilion.

I have never heard of any American claiming Horseshoe Falls as their own recently. Where did you hear that from? Also, you'd have to be pretty dumb to watch that film and think it was a film about America. Have you even seen the film?
Well, it is a VERY popular Canadian treat if you are in the right region (like Poutine is very popular in QC and not at all popular in AB).
Around here, people line up for 30 minutes--outdoors!--to get one. (And this 30 minute line-up occurs despite the fact that there are 10 people trying to serve customers.)
I have and one of them happens to be married to my little sister. He was convinced that the Horseshoe falls were American along with his family and many others from PA that he went to school with.
Can I ask whereabouts you are? There is a kiosk in Halifax in a very busy location and more people flock to the Tim Horton's next door than they do to get a Beaver Tail. They definitely weren't big in Toronto either and certainly don't even exist in NB. Poutine is very popular in the Maritimes as well, for the record and at least it is somewhat unique. Beaver Tails are no different than funnel cakes other than the shape and they have worse toppings.

Direct him to an encylopedia...an American encyclopedia for that matter.
You know what is even funnier is talking to the CM's at teh Canada pavilion they were telling the wife and I how the geography textbooks some of them brought along on school trips has the US and Mexico and when it came to Canada there was nothing there at all it was just shown as water above the US. They also were shown one textbook that had the US split in half and the eastern side was listed as the US the Western side was listed as Canada. Have you ever tried to watch the weatherchannel while at Disney we did this Dec and it shows up to the border after that there is nothing they do not even show the weather pattern above Michigan etc. Oh btw I looked the video up on youtube and watched it I stand by my assumption that the old film was 100 times better. I like Martin Short and all but think he did little to add to that film if anything he made it worse.
What does this have to do with your assertion that the Horseshoe Falls really belong to America?
Also, about the Beaver Tails, they may be a regional treat but they certainly aren't popular throughout Canada. And I have had them. They taste like any other fried dough (dough boy, funnel cake, etc.) product to me with toppings added that come from a can or giant bucket.
I have never said that the horsehoe falls belong to the US I said that it is a misconception of Americans that they are the property of the US read much into things or what?
You said that you could watch O Canada and mistakenly think that you were in the US Pavilion because of most of the footage and you gave Horseshoe Falls as an example. So, I'm not sure what you're suggesting? Such footage should be left out? The incessant mention of Canada isn't enough to suggest that viewers might we watching a film about Canada? If I recall you haven't even seen the film, correct? In any case, I think it was wonderfully done and if people are that dull that they would think it was an American film, that's not really the fault of Canada.
Actually if you had read one of my posts just a few above you would see that I pulled it up on Youtube and watched it and made mention of Martin shoert not really adding anything to the film I like Martin Short and all but not reall in this film. My comment was you could use this film in any number of pavillions and it could be just as easily mistaken as the US or many other places.
