I converted money last night but only got 88c for the dollar...which isn't 'too bad' but I am still praying for it to go higher!

I'm happy to see the aud peak over 89¥ today. It may have been at 100¥ when I was first planning this trip, but hey, its not that big of a drop in tbe grand scheme of things. Better than the 86¥ of last week! Just have to plan on how to escape the office tomorrow and get to the FX place.

I put another $1000 on my cash passport yesterday. I don't remember how much I got in US$ but the rate i got was 88c at the post office.

And then what happens? Back downhill again? I was just looking at xe to see what the movements were like over the last couple of elections, and yes, they went up, but stayed up for months. There's probably a bit more going on during those years, though

I'd be happy if they stayed up, as I don't want to exchange any more money. I've decided to forgo the travel card this time (as they give such terrible exchange rates, and my last experience was ordinary) and go with some cash and a Citibank Plus card. If anyone else is looking to exchange cash, KVB Kunlun give great rates. I got 88.5 Yen when xe was quoting 89.5. Happy to explain if anyone wants any info on them.
