Oh! About the Miley Cyrus parents divorce!

These are NOT wholesome people that you would want to share your dinner table with, no matter how hard their publicists want to spin it. Is it any wonder that Miley is looking like a used up street walker? Her moral guides have been out chasing the $$$ and apparently opposite sex.

What is so disappointing is the publicity spin that attempts to portray these people as regular everyday people. Clearly they are not. Their lives are fun filled and carefree. They have more money and a strange desire to be in the spotlight 24/7.

Good parents do not thrust their children into the 'business' unless they are in it for themselves. Especially ones that are already in it and know the pitfalls.

The Cyrus' are completely EWWW. And Brett Michaels, as pretty as he is, has had a few thousand partners too many - yuck.

At some point (and Miley has reached that point), she needs to be responsible for her own choices.

People need to quit blaming parents at some point for the choices their kids make. At what age does that happen? I'd say Miley is beyond the age.

Trust me, I'm no fan of the Cyrus family, but stop blaming the parents already.

Sorry but that bolded part was so santamonius, I just went onto google looking at the pictures and there are many pictures of her looking like what she is a young woman enjoying life she doesn't look anything like a street walker. I just don't understand the hatred that some people have for this woman.

You did a google search and found nothing out of the ordinary? Wow, I am surprised. I did the same, although, I did a search for the year 2010 and I was aghast at some of the images, they did to me, look like a street walker. She made her fortune on her sweet and innocent Hannah Montana persona and became a pseudo role model for many young girls, she owes it to Disney, and the young girls, IMHO to maintain that until she has severed her ties. Her concerts are now apparently reflecting her 'growing up', did the parents of young girls know that in advance? Because she grew up very very fast.

I have no hatred. Nor was I being sanctimonious I was stating my opinion, which happens to be shared by many many people.

Agreed. Miley is responsible for her actions. I was indicating that because of the lifestyle her parents have had over the years and by pushing her into the business she has become what she is.

It's a parent's responsibility to raise their kids to make good decisions as adults. If that hasn't been done when the children are young, if direction isn't given, if the children are seen as a meal ticket or a chore, then the parents have failed. Children who have been indulged or left to their own devices much too young, they then don't have the ability to make good choices the minute they hit 18.

I'm sorry but allowing your child to lap dance at 16, pole dance at 17 and writhing around in a bed before that child is 18 in the name of musical expression is NOT good parenting.

Sometimes, yes, the parents are to blame.

I attended Miley's Hannah Montana...Best of Both Worlds tour and then her latest tour where she was herself only, Miley. Anyone with common sense (young girls parents) would know prior to purchasing these tickets that a MILEY CYRUS concert would be just that...MILEY CYRUS not her character on a TV show. Really, do people expect her to stay a 12 year old tv character forever? Give me a break. She doesn't owe that to anyone just like you or I don't have to be the exact same as we were 6-7 years ago.

Honestly...do people have some kind of hidden camera or crystal ball that allows you to see into their private lives? I don't see how people can be so judgemental about complete strangers.

:sad2::sad2::sad2:

As I said - IN MY OPINION she does OWE to her fan base and the Disney Corp while she is still making the series and collecting a mighty hefty paycheck for it. Do I expect her to be a 12 year old forever? I don't know, what age does she portray on the show?
When she quits and severs ties with Disney and all the product endorsements aimed at her tween fans, THEN, again IN MY OPINION she can look and act like the street-walker she looks like now. She can do what she wants on stage including riding a pole, grinding dancers, etc. And then if a parent wants to subject their tween to that, then at least they know what they are getting into.

Yes, thank you. I realize that, but it really has nothing to do with anything I was saying.

Since you mentioned it though, this isn't necessarily a "majority rules" kind of thing. I know of several instances IRL where one person said his/her spouse was having an affair and both the spouse and alleged lover deny it, but it ends up being true anyway. I don't think that is so unusual.

No, actually it sounded like you thought there were just two people talking. That the rep for Tish and the Cyrus source were the same. And that that one person was saying that it it was a professional relationship that went to something more, and that you thought that meant they thought it was OK.

I thought that b/c it's what you said.

"I was just found the wording used by Mrs. Cyrus' rep interesting. That's all." Which you said after quoting, and bolding the whole thing together as thought it was just one person.

The actual rep "denies the dalliance". There's no wording to be interesting, as the article merely paraphrased whatever they might have said.

I'm not saying there's any sort of majority rules, and I haven't a single clue if it's all true or not. But it really does sound like there was a misunderstanding of how many people were being quoted/paraphrased. But if you follow the commas, you'll see that there are 3 people, and that the rep didn't say anything interesting at all.

It's just the source, the rumor source, that said that about the professional turning into more...which isn't really interesting, it's just a rumor they are spreading.

On the show, she is a senior in high school (same age she would be if she was in school in "real life").

Like I said earlier in the thread, I doubt Billy Ray Cyrus would file divorce over a "rumor".

.

Then its about time the "many" grew past the maddona slut complex that is so prevalent in these messages. She is nearly 18 and people just can't accept that she is a woman now let her be instead of watching and hoping she will fail.

Nearly 18, not 18. Still a minor. She is hardly a woman. And when it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and looks like a duck......:rolleyes1

I find it very strange that a grown woman would have so much hatred for a 17 year old girl, that she has never met.

18 is old enough to fight for your country in mine its an adult. As for the looks like a duck rubbish really leave the woman alone Madonna has done much worse than she has and no on says a word about her.

Wow, Paula, you have some strong feelings about Miley. Sorry if I offended you. Frankly, I could not care less about Miley, her family and the show. I have no use for Madonna either.

From the images I have seen, articles I have read, and the videos that are shown on television, I see her manner of dress as akin to that of a street walker.

Musically I prefer Beethoven., but I see it again and again child performers are not supposed to be happy all people want is for them to crash and burn probably because of jealousy. There seems to be an atitude that if you work for disney you have to live like a nun forever. I found an interesting comment in the trailer for Race to Nowhere where one girl says "how can you do well when you can't even make mistakes".

:thumbsup2 Absolutely. The girl is almost 18 and has been taught that questionable behavior, and dress, is not only acceptable, but also a way to further her career. That comes directly from the adults in her life.

You can't blame the child if they haven't been taught right from wrong.

This situation is just another example of poor decisions made by the parents. And sorry to all the Billy Rae fans, but both parents look like they need a scrubbing.

This is ridiculous. No one wants these teen performers to crash and burn. They do it themselves. They cater to one audience to make the money, fame and popularity and then all of a sudden they "grow up" and are 17 and making out on video with 28 yr. old men. Planning on posing for Playboy as soon as she turns 18.

Wow, that brings happiness, but there goes her fan base.

I think the walk like a duck fits perfectly here. She has sold out and is trying to follow in Brittany's steps. Good luck look where she ended up.
