and so will we at DL soon, but we need your help!

This time of year, what's the best way to dress throughout the day at DL for adults and also for young (<6) kids? When you reply, could you also please tell me what time of day you most likely make the changes (like this: Adults-- 8 am: jeans/ sweatshirt, 12 noon: t-shirt/ shorts; Kids-- 8am: jeans/ jackets, etc)? Any advice or experience from this time of year would really help! ;) Thanks in advance! :cool2:

We always go back to the hotel and change into jeans and grab a sweater after dinner around 6:30. You can also put everything in a locker and change at the park if you do not want to leave the park.

I would check out the weather forecast for whenever you are planning on going and then bring what is appropriate. It has been very hot lately, but it's supposed to cool down a bit (right now the forecast for October 17-19 is 71, 72, and then 85 degrees).

To me, that will be nice and comfortable. If you are used to hot, then it may be cooler for you. We plan on bringing shorts, pants, t-shirts, and light jackets to change into at night.

Well, folks here are always talking about going 'Disney commando'

That is where you skip the underwear layer:rotfl:

Don't mind me, I am in a strange mood today:upsidedow

October is tricky. Even if the weather report says "Low 62 degrees" it doesn't mean it will feel that way inside DL. I have gone a few days in the last 3 weeks, and I didn't change from my day time clothes (tank and shorts) at all. It was just pleasant in the parks at night.

I always throw a long-sleeved shirt in the stroller for me and DS. It is enough to keep warm, but doesn't take up space. I am from here, so it doesn't take much to get me in jeans, either. I would just worry about jackets and not pants.

Mornings you probably will just wear what you would all day. It's not too chilly IMO.

And as for humidity, I wouldn't worry about that in October...

Thanks for the help so far, but is there a certain time of day when any of you have been finding it typically too hot now for jeans and jackets, then a time at night typically too cool for just shorts and t-shirts? :confused3

I'm gonna say it starts getting warm around 9 am and cooler at 6 pm, but that's just me. The weather down here has been so crazy lately.

We take small 'lap' blankets for the evening shows. As PP said, you usually can just add to top layer, but in the evening when you stop to wait and then view fireworks or F!, it can get a little more noticeably chilly, imo. We just keep the blankets and a hoody or two in a locker until we need it.

Once, during a December trip, we went for three days straight with pants and long sleeves, but that is really the exception I think. ;)

I didn't mean to ignore your question in my last post...I really think just take a couple pair of pants, if it is cool enough in the morning to need them, go ahead and wear them. You might not need them at all, but it is better safe than sorry. My experience is that if it is too cold in the morning to get away with shorts until the sun peaks, it will stay on the cooler side, and you probably won't need to change.

But, then again, I am from SW Washington, not the desert like you! :lmao: We have been known to wear shorts when it is pouring in the middle of October or March.
