I am pretty excited I finally got a table for Oga's for 6 (we are a group of 7, but if I can't get a singles reservation, one of us (likely me) will miss out). We have five kids ages 9-18 and really, it is just to see it. But wow, that menu is weak for being open at breakfast-I have seen some other menus that included very basic breakfast items and even juice and coffee but they don't seem to be listed. Anyone go early in the morning? What do you recommend ordering? Other than a mimosa I don't see myself having booze for breakfast!

I doubt the younger kids are going to like it much. We are big Star Wars fans but have no interest in returning. You might be better off skipping it if you can only go in the morning and don’t want to drink that early.
Really? I had thought it was just for ambience anyway so didn't really matter what time we went (honestly I am not at DLR for cocktails with my five kids, lol). You would say it is not worth the visit at all?

If you've never been there, it's worth trying it out, but it's probably better to go at night. I've never been there in the morning.

btw, the

Happabore Sampler

is not worth it, it's pretty poor quality.

I would not go there to eat anything, just drinks.

Thanks for the suggestions. I was really just figuring we would go and get an overpriced drink for the kids so they could see it. Thanks for the tip on the sampler! We will stick to a cheap(er) drink and quick look around.

I might be in the minority here, but the ambience to me is also disappointing. There is a lot more to see in GE that has more cool details. Oga’s misses the mark for a Star Wars cantina. Your kids might enjoy Docking Bay 7 better which I think has a better theme. Even the stores have cooler entrances and details that are fun to explore. I highly recommend checking out Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities.

Oga’s is small so if you just wanted to see the ambience and look around you can do that in 2 minutes. Your kids will probably want to leave in that amount of time to do something fun or eat something good as well.

Agree.

I've been there twice (once in DW, once in DL), and I don't think I need to go again.

The main things to see are DJ REX and the area behind the bartenders.

In DW, the bartenders were also acting like they were in the Star Wars universe a lot more (this was before covid).
In DL, that "Feature" was not really there (a few months ago).
This was true in general before covid.

I like Dok Ondar's as well.

I still think it's worth going at least once.

Well we love Oga's and have been a few times. Really fun place to go with a group & the kiddos we've been with have had just as great a time as the parents IMO. Get breakfast at Ronto's ahead of time and enjoy your morning cocktails!

The only draw for me is DJ REX due to nostalgia factors. They could have really made the cantina a lot better/more authentic. I'd say it's worth it for a first time, but as others have noted the kids may get tired of it quite quickly.

You will easily be able to add one to your reservation. When you check in on the app it actually asks you if you want to add one.

I really like Oga’s but for me it’s more fun if l’m having an adult beverage and I definitely don’t drink in the morning so I wouldn’t personally go for breakfast. But they do have a tea drink that is tasty (Moogan Tea). It’s a bit sweet for me but I had a sip of my friend’s and I thought it was good.

Don’t get any food there for sure, especially not with kids. My son really likes the Blue Bantha drink (blue milk) they serve at Oga’s, which comes with a cookie. The blue milk inside Oga’s is not frozen like the blue milk from the stand outside, but it’s the same flavor. It’s more like a plant-based milkshake versus a plant-based slushee if that makes sense. Some people don’t like the blue milk in Oga’s. I’ve had both and I actually like both. They are different but I enjoy them both. The cookie on top used to be better prior to covid. Now it’s not too great but kids usually aren’t too picky about cookies I find.

Thank you! That is really great news about adding one to the reservation-as a family of 7 we are often splitting up to make it work. I will keep checking for a later reservation (using mouse dining) so we can have a drink (not going to do booze at 9 am, lol), but if not, we will grab something from the non-alcoholic menu and enjoy a brief experience. My boys are Star Wars crazy and this was a big thing for the oldest to get in to see it. I think they will be thrilled, and they really don't care about the food/drinks. My girls likely won't be so keen, but the boys have stomached enough princess lineups in their days, so fair enough :)

Lol. Let us know what they think!

Just circling back to let you know how it was. We had no trouble adding another person and got a large booth. My husband, oldest and myself got the cold brew coffee drink (it was weird-wouldn't recommend) and three of the children got a blue powerade type drink (they loved it), one got water (because he is picky and plain and everything was too fancy for him lol). It was really neat to see, and the kids thought it was really cool. I wouldn't do it again in the morning, but would do a late afternoon or early evening to actually have a break and enjoy one of the drinks. I appreciate they don't do much food, but in my opinion, Disney is always looking at ways to make money and even if they just sold croissants and muffins and some coffee/juice it would be great spot in the morning, but perhaps that would be too off theme. Just seems like a missed opportunity.

They used to offer a cinnamon roll type thing but they stopped serving it. I think part of the reason they don’t serve much food is they want people in and out quickly. This place is fun but definitely best saved for afternoon or evening!

I had had a breakfast reservation. I choose not to do the food options because it was 9am and neither items really worked for me. I'll be honest, I haven't recommended this to any of my friends. I don't know that I would do it again either unless I knew I was going to get a table.

I got the Black Spire Coffee drink. It was disgusting and I would not recommend. The 'fruit' part was just enough to overwhelm the coffee but not strong enough to stand on it's own.

I was also very disappointed in the interactions as the server spent thier entire time with the parties around me (they all ordered food and one had kids). I was a solo party and was at the bar so no seat, back to the main room and I guess she figured I wasn't enough of a tab to bother with. I had to work to get thier attention just to get water and to get my check. Very poor service. At least there was cool stuff to look at. I'm a very good tipper, an over tipper usually but she got the minimum, so her loss.

I basically just considered it an experience and moved on. (I am a big Star Wars fan)

I do wish they would bring their small breakfast back as we really enjoyed it. As mentioned above they used to have a cinnamon roll (I think it was called the Mustafarian Lava Roll or something like that) and an overnight oats dish with starfruit and some other fruit. We tried and enjoyed both. I believe there were a more coffee and tea drinks on the breakfast menu then too.
Here's the roll
