We will be at Disney World (staying onsite) Nov 8-12. We have a Oga's reservation for 9:15am on Nov 11th. The park opens at 9:00am that day and as of right now there is no EMH for HS. Is there any advantage to having that morning reservation? We will get in early? We have been trying to get a lunch or dinner reservation for Oga's but have had no luck so far.

Really, no one knows yet as HS won't operate with normal hours until just a few days before your visit. That said, if opening procedures in the past are anything to go by, 9:15 not only won't get you in early but will also take away your chance to RD MFSR with anything resembling a short wait.

Depending on how the next 2 months go crowd-wise, a lot could change. If they bump that to an 8am open or add EMH, that same ADR could be a nice break after an hour in the land. I'd hold it for now and keep looking for lunch/dinner.

I would only do it if you genuinely want to Ogas at 9:15 -- to try the breakfast, or because that was the only time you could get and really want to go. Like TheOneWithTheTriplets, I see no advantage since you'll be entering with the rope drop crowd anyway, and only the potential disadvantage of losing out on rope dropping Smuggler's Run.

I totally missed when ADR's opened up for Oga's and don't have one. Does anyone know if Oga's will be open during EEMH, or will they also take standby? Very bummed. We are not big drinkers and are fine doing breakfast- in fact, it looks like breakfast is probably the one meal where they have an actual meal - the lunch and dinner menus are more drinks + some nuts and light appetizers.

To clarify do not serve what I would call light appetizers—just bar snacks. I expect reservation availability will be like any other ADR: some spots may open up as people cancel, particular the day before.
