Offsite with pets.

Has anyone stayed in condo or townhome with pets, CLOSE to Disney? We would like to leave her in the room while we are out. (Crated of Course) We would come back during the day for breaks and let her out. Any recommendations?

always check the houses and hotels - they can change with owners or policy.

the only timeshare is
Celebration World Resort

it is nice

it does not have the luxuries of most timeshares - no restuarant, gift shop, store - on site. the activities are limited - some don't take place.

but for pets it is definitely nice.

I like to rent a house or townhouse with the dog on the sticky that was posted above it shows pet friendly on www.vrbo.com witha paw print next ot the ones that are pet friendly it better than a hotel room and nice to go for walks in a neighborhood

with homes always ask to speak to the owner and make sure they haven't changed their minds.

there were a couple with pet paws on VRBO but when you went to the owners website it was obviously that they did NOT accept pets.

so be carefully call and check first. much better than to arrive with your pet and be told they can't stay.

Definitely check out VRBO. They have a HUGE list of over 500 Disney-area homes and condos with every amenity imaginable, and it says whether the homes are pet-friendly or not. We always travel with our dog and we've rented condos and homes in Orlando for the past three years and are doing so again next summer. We've never had to board our dog in any of the homes and she loved stretching out and relaxing in the AC while we were out for the day (and we loved the extra space!) Emerald Island is definitely our favorite resort. Next summer we're renting a condo for three weeks for only $1650 so you can find some great savings!
