offsite vs onsite w/ FOTL

Last trip (August 2002) I stayed offsite first day then moved to RPH. The first day (only a few hrs) in IOA w/o FOTL was a disaster w/ 45 min to 1hr wait times. Next 2 days w/ FOTL was awesome. Hotel savings definately not worth it. Would consider offsite again ONLY during slow time at park. So, when is the slow time, if any?

Slow times are generally:

January to February
First two weeks of May
September after Labor Day
November (except Thanksgiving weekend)
First two weeks of December
